  1. Do a Blackpool and develop Boundary Park once we are in the premier league.

Now I like that idea. Blackpool have redeveloped their ground on a slow and steady basis, one stand at a time over a longer period of time. Just what is wrong with that idea!

I think people need to understand the economy in the UK is shot - for various reasons - and people don't have the spending ability they had in the past. We need to think long term but on a smaller scale. Get the fan base back by playing quality football, and take it one step at a time to redevelop BP.

Lets stay there, tell everyone we are going to redevelop slowly and get back those fans who have gone elsewhere thinking the move to Failsworth was on the cards.

Lets be realistic. What you don't have - don't try and spend for the sake of it!

    Cheers - Brian

  2. Hi Huddersfield fan here am off to the game on saturday, but then am off to the David Haye fight after in Manchester

Just wondering whats the best way to get to MEN arena?

Is there any buses near the ground to catch to the centre of Manchester?

how much will a taxi be ETC

Any advice will be much appreciated

    Cheers :)

Bus from Broadway, just outside the ground. First Manchester 24 or 181/182. Takes about 45 minutes.

Enjoy the game. :OWTB1: Remember to leave the 3 points at Boundary Park!

  3. You never know, the planning department might let Latics get away with building on Tandle Hills green belt land.

Wow what a fantastic idea, only two disadvantages though,

    a) I would have to walk an extra mile to the pub and an extra mile back to watch the game.

b ) The slope on the pitch at Tangs may well be bigger than Yeovil's old ground.

Having seen the recent planning blunders as reported in the "Oldham Morning Chron" we could apply to build a table football site and no one would notice the additional 48000 seats - bring it on.... :comeon:

  4. Good Evening,

All my 3 eldest kids have passed with Beechwood Driving School in Royton, (John 0161 652 5897). I don't know what the going rate is for lessons but all were impressed with his teaching methods and passed 1st time. {The middle one Sarah now does about 6000 miles a year driving me to away games, so I can now have a drink - happy days!! :drinking45:
