Corals odds
Oldham Athletic v Yeovil Town 8/11 12/5 3/1
They lost their last 3 games aswell
look decent odds to me 8/11 if you could get another 10 to make a good accumulater

for me the sheff wed game sticks like mud in that never to be forgotten game
for personel reasons brighton away 89 or 90,,,,5 of us decided to go at midnight from the pleasant inn in my muckers clapped out cortina
by the time we got to stoke the exhaust had fell off...just short of london had to have 2 new tyres put on it....guy drops dead outside the ground...2 fantastic goals from stitch won us the game and a huge blow out on the motorway coming home,,,got home sunday dinner i think,,,what a day,,i could write you a book about it
southampton away in league cup...travelled all the way down there and didnt get in...shut the gates at 7 oclock cos it was packed leaving 500 oldham fans outside....they shut all the pubs but we had a great time outside with some commentary from a bobby on duty...we then got pelted with 50ps when all the saints fans were coming out,,so happy days i went home loaded..............
i could go on forever

going back to the few glory days when every man woman and child was buying hats, scarves, shirts, banners and emptying the latique shop everyday,,,i got the impression that alot of people were jelous of alan ,saying anyone could do his sales and marketing job at that time,,,of course they could,,all they had to do was open the door and watch people flood into the shop spending a fortune,,,,of course it doesnt work like that and i think alan should be applauded for his efforts at that time when the club had no experience whatsoever of being successful and it must have been a really challenging experience to combat the huge growth the club was experiencing.....and i just think alans name has been spread throughout the borough by the negative people of that era and the folk who are pleased to slag him off, have not got a clue why they are slagging him off
thanks alan for your support you have shown the club over the last 20 odd years and i know if it wasnt for you and a few others oafc would have died a few years ago

Seriously, Huddersfield are 1/2 which may seem short but if they stuck the Eaves money on Huddersfield, they'd get a return most of the forumites on here would have been to have received in the first place
And why not chuck in a 50k double with us to beat Notts County as well?
hope they didnt take your sound advise mate............

3rd time listening now

i will guarantee now even if oafc go on to win the prem league, champions league and fa cup all in the same season,,,,that day will never ever be recreated
how 20000 peoples emotions changed from utter sheer dissapointment to total off your head excitement within 20 odd mins was something quite magical and i will never forget it as long as i live
-
like a home game for me
i hate that poxy away end though
cant see anything after half way line
-
i think i will clap him till he gets half way down the steps
then boo him till he gets to the running track
there,,,hes had both from me
then i will forget about him and watch their keeper bend his back in the back of the net
come on oldham

there is only one thing to celebrate in yorkshire
and thats reaching the top of the hill and rolling back down the other side
-
Did you celebrate Yorkshire Day on Monday?
no............
-
Don't do it, put the old rusty knife down, step back and breath........and come over to the right side of the Pennines.
we are playing with a bit more pride, we can string about 5 passes together and we have found the back of the onion bag and conceeding less in the opposite end
I just hope the momentum continues
i thought this yorkshire lot were depressing
latico out does them

It's that time again folks, by the looks of things. 20K for our best striker is a joke, I am fuming. Rumours that we would have placed ourselves in admin had we not been in a relegation battle last year look more true by the day.
Going to be a long long season by the looks of things.
jesus chist....i was really looking forward to jumping in the car and zooming over the hill to watch our boys this season
now i want to slit my wrists again
thanks for that latico

stopped off at a boozer coming back from norwich when we got relegated and it boasted to have the strongest ale in britain......it was like mud and a fiver for half,,,,not that you wanted a pint of it.....dont ask me were it was or what it was called,,,,,i was to pissed
-
Would be very surprised if we got 6k.
Not going to pick on the club as not in the area so don't know the answer and will just ask a genuine question...what promotion has there been for the game in Oldham/Manchester this week? To look at the website you wouldn't know we had a home fixture on Saturday against one of the L1 'Big Four'. We're playing rather well and are entertaining a big team...what efforts have been made to make sure people know about the game and encourage them to come along?
let me have a guess,,,and it will be a guess because i dont live there anymore-----------none---------
bet ah has ordered the fifty pies for the game though

Just my personal opinion, but if the council balls this latest venture up I wouldn't blame TTA if they opted to move the club to Ashton (so long as they kept the name Oldham Athletic)
Sorry mate but disagree with that, and I disagree with Mr Owen in some ways, and this is coming from a Trust Director. As long as the criticism is constructive, they can post it all they want for my liking. Re Barrys piece in the chron, will highlight the following
“It is expensive running a football club and a certain level has to be charged to keep the club solvent."
The bottom line is many fans either
- Cannot afford £20 week in week out
AND/OR
- Can but think £20 is not value for money,
And I sure as hell do not blame any fan who thinks either of the above. The matchday experience is pure and simply crap, and some people on here would argue that crap is being kind. The club are getting the basics wrong on so many levels. No scoreboard, crap acoustics, running out of pies before half time, and lets not forget the absolutely woeful marketing (woeful refering to its non existence on many occasions).
I am one of many fans who think the marketing at the club is non existent. Who on here who does not have a season ticket honestly knew about the special offer for the Yeovil game. Where was the full page ad in the chron? Or even the MEN??? As I said previously, the club as it is could not market torches and pitchforks to an angry mob.
“Unfortunately, clubs at our level aren’t subsidised to the extent those in the Premier League are by television money.”
Bottom line is Oldham is where it is geographically, that is not going to change, we have always had to compete with United and City. Instead of hiding behind the usual excuses as to why things have to carry on as they are, confront the issue head on and deal with it.
Now I do not proclaim to know all the answers, but I like many fans on here, can sure as hell see alot of problems, and am willing to sit down with the club round a table to work towards finding some answers any time they wish, rather than sticking our heads in the sand and hiding behind the "but we have to charge x amount to keep the club solvent", "premier league clubs get sky money" "we are in the back garden of utd, city etc"
what was the promotion for the yeovil game?/???
didnt hear anything
Oldham V Yeovil Town

id like us to give them a real good hiding....stamp some authority on this league and show anyone who might have a few doubts about us,,,we are at the top and we are staying there...
