I'm trying to think of games when I've been so fuming that if it wasn't for dimensions I'd have been on there.
I can only think of the 4-4 draw with Bristol Rovers, Clatterbug (both miles from the pitch) and Paul Reid being bigger than I thought.
nick henrys goal in the semi that was a foot over the line...
i could see it went in and i was stood in the kippax at the other end of the ground..
if i could have got to the ref then.....well
-
That brings it back. Not sure if it was the shirts or just the sheer violence of Deane and co, but I actually wanted to get on the pitch and seriously harm the ref by the end of that match...
cant remember much about it
i know they wore bright yellow shirts and deane scored the second
it was an assault on their goal but they survived somehow..
what did the ref do wrong?

You're jealous of him seeing Will Haiining?..

My eyes still hurt.
jesus,,just been thinking that game was about 20 years ago....seems like yesterday.
time flies by when your having fun,,,,,but thats not really the case here is it,,
we probably had 4-5 years good years after that,, then it all started to go wrong

I suppose squad size depends on what our ambitions are. If they are to get promotion, then we are way short. if it is to stay up and reduce costs, then we are cooking on gas. I'm not sure what we are heading for at the moment though.
good shout but i cant think for one minute tta would be thinking about anything else but promotion...I cant see the point in going into a season with an attitude, we just want to stay up
-
one of the best defensive games i have seen from an away team was when were unbeaten at home for 30 something games in 89/90 season i think it was and we played sheff utd at home on a tuesday night...we threw the kitchen sink at them that night but they were awesome at the back and they broke twice to beat us 2-0 and broke all our hearts
-
at the moment if abbott was to get injured then we are left with the garbage that finished last season...
thats why we need 2 more strikers
centre half..once dp finds out what rubben can do regarding his fook ups then i think he will be off loading him..
that leaves greegan who could be suspended more than not if hes lost a yard on last season...
were does that leave us
only looking at it from a practical side and not a negative
-
I know dp is doing pretty damn good in the transfer market and is building a great team (on paper)
but is the squad as a whole going to be good enough to compete right to the end...
do we have enough quality in depth to step in when required..
imo we need another 2 quality
or reliable strikers yet and 2 more centre halfs

spotted in somerfield doing a bit off shopping, with michelle marsh and his little baby. Tut what is this world coming to!
you lucky get....

Strange that, one of the first things that entered my mind when opening this thread was his performance that night. I seem to remember him moving to Crewe, getting a really bad injury then just disappearing...
EDIT -
might be a few more scenes like that this season when owen

I Can See This Getting A Good Response.

I'd be a bit concerned though if he had lost any of his pace
Cheers,

what the hell would we want scott vernon for
there must be hundreds of players out there looking for a start
and a few on here are hell bent on bringing all the crap back here
come on,,,,look forward
-
i can take him or leave him...
but if i had a gun at my head......id leave him
clauses and dos and donts are all very well
but the last thing we want is hughsey goin off on one
and ballsing it up for everyone in this new era

They are telepathic??? You want to sack the marketing team, they left off your strongest selling point!
nice one
-
i have heard that we have will haining training with us this week and may come back. Ian Moore may come!has anybody heard anything?
no,,,but if you bought a telephathic oafc or pig plant pot holder you might get the breaking news quicker than anyone else
go for it,,,you know it makes sense
-
probably still do a job for a side such as ours, not sure what the other doom and gloom merchants on this board will think tho.....personally i think we need a different kind of player to go with Pawel Abbott, more in the mould of a Roger Palmer type.
they cost 10 million quid though
-
john keiley nicknamed lucky by joe royle
thats the guy.....one of royles last southerners to be bought i think
-
Chris Day perfect example *shudders*
Seriously, all the best Dean Brill. Will make a nice change to have good young fit keepers to fight for the number 1 spot. For two seasons now we have had one of our two keepers crocked for a large part or all of the season
who was the keeper we bought from brighton
broke every bone in his body,,,then had his house ransacked
it was the final straw for him
-
not to put the mockers on anything but you know what these southerners are like...
they dont last 5 minutes up north..
big joe stopped buying southerners in the end
i think the beer must be too strong for them up here
