  1. it was two days before my 18th.... I was having my 18th do a week after, so I had decided not to go to BP that day but had to go into Manny to get a decent dress.

didn't know anything about it untill we got back into Oldham. Saw it all unfolding in a tv shop on the corner of George st/high st in Oldham town centre, it was roughly where the Abbey National bank in now....remember the road use to curve from the High st down into george st near the undeground subway across from the regent pub. Bloomin eck how places change....

really wanted to go to the away game the weekend after but couldn't. If i remember rightly, they just charged a donation on the day rather than an entrance fee.

  4. Sadly many football fans, and then Youth in general do not vote. Liek you say, one focussed issue might galvanise a whole generation, but standing does not seem to be the topic. Strange feeling to know that many football fans have never even experience standing.

The day the terraces died too.....I miss the standing, sitting down..Hmmmmmmmmm getting used to it but it does not feel right. Then again, most concerts you go to with seating areas the stewards don't seem to come round and make you park your bum do they.

  5. Hiya all...

My first time on here and I have been away from the turnstiles for a while too - just come back into it again though (oh the joy of being a Latics fan eh!!!).

Just wanted to know if you can remember where you were 20yrs ago today when Hillsborough happened and any thoughts anyone wants to share from that day
