Thats right Lags another individual is stumping up 100 a month ( fishuil site should have this on soon ) so thats 3 in a week , and another individual has come up with a fantastic idea of selling pin badges that up until now have been blue but now tangerine silver and gold ones are on order so they should be available soon....BUT....... its still staggering that only 50-60 people out of our 3-4000 fan base have joined up for the Player Share for whatever reason and my personal opinion is that people didnt get involved cos of its links to the Trust , but now the right people ARE involved with it so lets make a REAL difference and every £ you can afford to donate really IS used by P.D. and after speaking to him at last nights Player Awards i can confirm he really does appreciate every single bit of effort made by us and it allows him to look at players that perhaps he wouldnt usually have been able to afford. So come on lets get a few hundred involved in either donating directly or buying the badges and lets see a few more players like Evina and Morais partially financed by us!!

After Lancs Lads initial idea the Rifle coach to Swindon for the last away match will now be a full on party bus with fancy dress prefered ( Cowboys and Indians has been mentioned as a theme but i,m sure there will be many whacky outfits worn on the day , and i might even make another Rubix Cube !!) Price will be £20 with pub open at 8 and leaving for Swindon at nine. Plenty of places left but the demand is expected to be very high so please either let me or Mark at Rifle know asap and we will pop your name down ( usual channels of on here, facebook or text or call me on 07754849746) , and if its half as good as the trip to Notts County on Saturday were in for one hell of a day, thanks as always , Mike

Season Defining?
oafc-lover replied to Frankly Mr Shankly's topic in The opinions4u Terraces - Latics Forum
Our season turned when the dummy was spat out with the leaving B.P.comments , caused a big black cloud and if the Liverpool take over from one multi millionaire to another drastically affected there team performances then its no suprise a team full of of kids making there way have performed poorly since the announcement.imo -
Just my humble opinion but i reckon if we get to the point where we KNOW that a new stadium is in the very near future ( and preferably one thats deemed to be in Oldham rather than on the outskirts cos i think it will affect peoples efforts one way or another) , then i reckon the attendances at Latics for the last 1 or 2 seasons to be spent there will bring back quite a few fans who want to be a part of the "memories" season(s) , and if you follow my train of thoughts a bit similar to all the old school who attended the Rochdale home and away games that re-ignited the old days. This coupled with greatly increased help from each and everyone of us to drag along mates ,lapsed fans ,kids ( and grandkids) or workmates who , surely after seeing a few of the excellent performances we have put out this season, will help grab there footballing heart and turn them into fully fledged tics. Also of course the Trust Fund ( who really does have SOME very inspirational members) ,online shopping credits , poker nights, race nights any bloody thing nights will all go towards paying the monies to keep B.P. open for our last season or two , and all this with the future at a brand spanking stadium to look forward to. Dont know why but the other night i sat there looking around at packed terraces , and just for a minute i thought how it will feel to sit there for the last time and the feelings absolutely overwhelmed me , and imagining people falling over themselves wanting to witness the last season if only as a "I was there" memory. Lets hope all these rumours will come to something and very oon we have something positive to look forward to off the field as well as on it.IMO.

Latest council statement
oafc-lover replied to Over_The_Hill's topic in The opinions4u Terraces - Latics Forum
Couldnt agree more Lags , this fund is a very worthwhile cause and i for one will be joining it i even though i am one who wants Barry out and younger more "in touch" people to run our trust.Good luck with the collecting of contributors and lets hope with people like yourself onboard that the playershare kicks on and becomes an even bigger success!
