  4. , Amies would just about miss but fantastic views of the stadium and maybe she would let me turn her rear garden into Mikey,s beer garden with optics and barrells etc
  5. Great thread and positive thinking with excellent areas to be considered , but does anyone know if this access problem at Failsworth is a major issue cos if it is no point thinking about developing the site if access isnt going to be granted ? Also whilst i would be in my absolute element there is a few million quids worth of houses in between St Augustines and Merton playing fields so looks like a none starter.
  6. Taking names now for next saturdays match but places are selling fast so please let me know asap and i,ll pop your name down
  7. Makes sense about footy one side, facilities on other side but there are some high priced housing past the astro,s so could see them kicking up a hell of a fuss. As for the size of areas involved i really wished i had done A level Geography as i would have had more of an idea although i might just pop down and do the old " one foot in front of the other" measurement
  8. All good fun and lifted the atmosphere from usual boring anti Yorkshire chants That reminds me Tracy , please rugby-tackle me the next time you see me about to mix sausage butties ( with copious amounts of brown sauce ) with the dreaded cream sodas..
  9. The school is still open though not sure when the new on is being completed , but Roman road that splits the area is the stumbling block as it needs to stay open to allow access to any new ground being put there?
  10. Good call and quite a large area when the Astro pitches are taken into account.
  11. Loved the banter yesterday with Morgan Freeman/Roger Palmer and Al Murray
  12. The land is now apparently contaminated and will take millions to put right before anything can be built on it.
  13. Just a few token buildings including a dentist and Bardsley dancing between Drury Lane and the motorway but not sure of size of land??
  14. Had me thinking for a minute then that one of us had posted this in a state of drunkeness
  15. I for one have a lot of time for Derek Wilson and his statement is absolutely bang on about the Trust and it would have been much more successful if both he , and one or two others who walked away cos of dinasuar Barry,s leadership , would have stayed and Barry would have left and took up a role in which P.R skills arent important! Wish you well as always Derek and hopefully the Latics fire in your belly will keep smouldering and bring you back not only as a fan but in a position where you and more modern and forward thinking people can lead the Trust into a much more successful position as it always should have been..I.M.O
  16. Not sure about the green belt bit but i think pits/mines can now be built on just as they are doing on hollins road between the oak petrol station and the old trendsetter mill site , which is about to become a secondary school/college.
  17. Take a few minutes to go and stand on the land where the Roxy was and you will be gobsmacked how small it is ???
  18. No matter how the past few years have been dressed up to look any other way by TTA,s , your comments on this thread are spot on Prozac, and the sooner us fans realise whats been going on all along the sooner we can direct our efforts to save our club in the right direction and at the right people!!
  19. kk i,ll get one of them to open a new account
  20. Congrats on a very good idea put accross to the fans fantastically well !! Just a quick question, went on the link for Asda ( basically cos the girls always do our online supermarket shopping from there so will get them to use the link) , and it takes you to the Asda homepage which doesnt mention the fund raising so is the percentage to the fund just automatically taken on check out??) Thanks in advance for the reply and well done again !! ( p.s...if Asos was on it the girls contribution would fund Torres wages after he leaves Chelski on a free in the summer !)
