  1. What an abdsolute reminder this thread is ,of why i stopped going on the old message board a few years ago , and wow have some things remained the same , namely : Barry is still being the policeman , lecturing people on right from wrong with zero people skills, with his vice like grip on the leadership of the trust costing the said trust tens of thusands of pounds in revenue cos basically people wont get involved whislt he is in charge ( lets hope this changes real soon !!) oafc000 is still pishing everyone off ( even though he,s prob a decent bloke in person) We still have many "keyboard warriors" ready to trade personal insults ( which the vast majority wouldnt have the b@lls to say to peoples faces) and in which Latics lee seems to kop for quite a few of them ( in Lee,s case i know him to be a decent lad with an opinion which is fine by me!!) And finally thank god we still have some decent people who make valid points with well reasoned arguments though some of them get lost in the constant bickering and multi direction pulling. This isnt any old message board.............................

  6. I dont give a monkeys if it turns out to be our moniey thats being spent , full on and deserved credit must be given for firstly the choice of manager , secondly giving him the reigns to bring in more or less who he wants , and thirdly for helping banish all those terrible memories from the Penny era !!
  7. Moved to the Rocky about 3 years ago after being man and boy enjoying some of the best moments of my life in the Chaddy but then watching it slowly but steadily slide into a morgue of an atmosphere and even though it took a few weeks to get used i now absolutely love it in the Rocky , fantastic atmosphere and banter , and a beer and a bet if you so wish , and even the chavs make it a humerous atmosphere all round with plenty of head shakes from the older end at some of the stuff that goes on ,and lets face it its the best stand by a million miles with regards to facilities My opinion is that the 3 Amigos should have enforced the move the day they took over and the " i,ve sat in the Chaddy for 40 years brigade" ( of which i,m one), would have been so grateful the club was being saved it wouldnt have impacted as much as if the move was tried now and we would now be looking back at years of vociferous support and increased revenues. So come on all you miserable old gits , come and join in the fun and sometimes electric atmosphere of the Rocky and keep your memories of the once great Chaddy as just memories. IMO
  8. After the success of the coaches from Rifle to Carlisle (big thanks to all who attended and made it a good day ) , we are now taking names for the Hudds match on 12th Feb . Price is £10 with the pub open at 9.30 for beer and butties then the trip to Hudds prob 11 ish.As per usual either let me on here or facebook or Mark at Rifle know of your numbers and we will add your name to the list. Thanks as always Mike
  9. If its as reported by Talk Sport that the Torres deal is worth £48 million plus Anelka then if you get Carrol and Anelka plus £13 million to buy Adams or Ashley young it stacks up pretty well against a sulking Torres..IMO
  10. Daughter lost hers yesterday after the Carlisle game , thanks in advance for any help....Mike
  11. I agree with Prozac the M.E.N. is usually more accurate than the Chron and i also use www.newsnow.co.uk as a great source not just for footy but news in general. imo

  19. lol , yeah course mate , used 16 seater yesterday driven by one of blokes from pub cos of low demand , unfortunately his clutch went in worcester , A.A man arrived would have towed us there but massive struggle to get us or the van back so managed to limp back whislt enjoying the free food and beer on coach and had a blinding day/night in pub
  20. Taking names now for both Walsall ( £15 with a 5.30 p.m start time) , and Carlisle ( £15 with start time to be confirmed) Initial coaches booked are 52 seater for both but can be amended dependant on demand but both have 30 ish names already down so let me know if ya fancy it and i,ll pop your name down
  21. In reality even though i would freshen the front line up completely , P.D is more likely to do as you say play Tonk with a.n.other , but given the fact that Tonk hardly wins any headers i would rather the partner be Brooke.
