  1. But what if he actually was owed money by the club himself - would you think the same way then? I think that theres a lot more to this story. Does anyone know if Jacobsen or any of the other players culled have been paid?
  2. So Powers To Be are you saying that all contracted players - current or former have been paid?
  3. I think that you will find that since Jacobsen has left this club weve won 1 game I think. Since hes been at Accrington theyve only lost one and letting in few goals. Coincidence?! - from what Ive just read on the Accrington site looks like hes doing rather well. He wasnt given a chance here, when he returned from injury. Great loss IMHO.
  4. He promised a few weeks ago that we'd end up in the top ten. Thats gonna be an achievement!
  5. The point is that he may be free (doubt if entirely free cos probably have to pay his expenses, insurance etc), but is he keeping out a player that we are paying wages for!
  6. Im a bit confused, can someone enlighten me please. Is he saying that he can pay all debts that are due now? Are there are any debts that are due now that he cannot pay? Because here is a definition of insolvency insolvency n. 1) the condition of having more debts (liabilities) than total assets which might be available to pay them, even if the assets were mortgaged or sold. 2) a determination by a bankruptcy court that a person or business cannot raise the funds to pay all of his/her debts. The court will then "discharge" (forgive) some or all of the debts, leaving those creditors holding the bag and not getting what is owed them. The supposedly insolvent individual debtor, even though found to be bankrupt, is allowed certain exemptions, which permit him/her to retain a car, business equipment, personal property, and often a home as long as he/she continues to make payments on a loan secured by the property.
  7. Many of the players are being paid by their lending clubs or least a percentage of their wages is. The younger ones in the squad are not being paid very much anyway - so think about that. The club are paying off Penney and the players that Dickov let go. He brought in others (loads of them)who cost some wages, so the club is doubling up on costs in some areas. These players have not resulted in a great deal of success as far as results are concerned. Im lost!
  8. Never mind the summer - the players havent been paid today!
  9. And heard that Taylor could go any minute also
  10. BP1960. I assume that you are talking about Jacobsen. Saw him on several occasions for the ressies and he looked quality, even though not fully fit including against Ferdinand, Anderson and Brown when he scored. Looking at he Acci site, since hes been there, think hes played 14 games, theyve lost only 2, kept clean sheets in the last three and hes scored a couple also. I think that there was more to it that he went. When Dickov came in, he must have been told to get rid of the 6 players to save money and chose him and a few others because they were injured. He was injured in training when he first got here. Played a few games, whilst clearly still injured, had two ops in the summer and then never got a chance. Smells very much to me that Dickov didnt want to lose face and change his mind. Instead he bought in the fourth choice reserve left back from Arsenal and since then has consistently dropped both Evina and Black! Im not going to criticise these players as thats not something I do, but a lot of players that have been bought in appear to have been done so because they appeared to have potential and they were very cheap. Not many of them have any real track record and Feeney has obviously taken most of the budget. These are all Dickovs decisions (maybe some down to Corney)and this team is definitely his. In my opinion some of the players let go, could be very useful right now. Purdey came to us with an excellent reputation, Holdsworth looked good and Smalley could easily been recalled to name but a few. Penney made everything look even worse last season, but these players hardly played under him.Time will tell of course, but I think the present problems have been building up for a long time and big mistakes have been made
  11. Are you sure theyve been paid - I don't think that's the case at all
  12. Why shouldn't he be annoyed - I would if my employers didn't pay me and then I couldn't pay my bills. He's probably not on a fortune so this will cause him hardship which isn't his fault. None of the players have been paid, even the ones who were so called paid up. They agreed to help the club by spreading their payments and now haven't been paid either despite promises. The club have publicly admitted cash flow problems and with outstanding debts the directors are trading their company insolently. This is not the players fault - it's bad management
  13. That should say none of the players gave been paid
