  1. Thanks for all the updates. I don't wish to be negative, so I won't be. Hopefully Shez has learnt a little more about his players and roll on Tuesday!!
  2. I love it when chickers posts. Can't think why
  3. I didn't think blokes could multi-task. Good work
  4. Thanks for the half-time reports. This is better than Sky on a Saturday!! I wouldn't mind seeing Stam and Thompson as a pairing this season but with Gregan having been given the armband, it aint likely to happen.
  5. Time for a pie then Does it sound like a decent game? Are we stringing some passes together? Or is the commentator more interested in Mighty Atom?
  6. Surely he would have had plenty of time for the repair of tights on the long trip to Cumbernauld?
  7. Pogs was practising his kicking with Crossley at half-time at Dale. He pulled up and signalled to Crossley that he needed to stop. I might be wide of the mark but I reckon he has a niggle.
  8. Now we're off!! The first of many for that lad, methinks.
  9. Let's just hope that we're getting our errors out of the way before the real deal starts!!
  10. As a 14 year old, I went through a period of turning up at Boundary Park at 1:30 on a matchday and getting players autographs. One day in the 1991/92 season, a mate brought a camera with him and I got my picture taken with every player. That summer, I did work experience in the photography department of the Police HQ and they allowed me to develop the pictures in a very large size. I wandered down to Boundary Park in the July of 1992 when the players were back in training, armed with these super-large pictures. At the end of training, I approached Milligan to get the picture of he and I signed. He saw the other pictures and asked if I wanted them all signed. Well, that's what I was there for. He took them all off me, told me to hang around and 20 minutes later, came out with every one signed. He was a top guy and he became even more of a hero of mine after that day.
  11. Chris Hall, thanks for 2 things. 1) The equaliser at Wolves. The delerium which followed was one of my highlights of the season. 2) For retiring. You weren't up to it. Goodbye and good luck.
  12. Thank you very much! Top site. Will I ever get any work done again?
  13. Mike Nuttall Living in Stretford (you sometimes can't help where you end up!!) Been supporting Latics since 1980 - so 27 years Best away match would be Maine Road when we won 2-1 and Gary Kelly saved a penalty The greatest player I have seen in the blue shirt is Andy Ritchie I would say Wigan for greatest rivals because they have stolen our name, our colours and our place in the top flight. Hopefully, we will go up and they will go down and we can given 'em a good kicking next season!!
  14. Been a latics fan since 1980 (aged 6) and have been attending home games at Boundary Park ever since with my Dad and more recently with mates or alone. This season I decided to travel home and away and I've been to 90% of the games. Next season I am gonna try for every match! Love this site!!
