  1. Having read Bristol Rovers fans call it an "oldham level signing" and saying stuff like "glad we missed out. rather have hoskins" and "doubt our and charltons interest was serious if hes gone oldham". I think I'll say that I'd rather have someone with Feeney's international pedigree, someone who's managed to score since 2007, 11 times in 47 matches as opposed to 9 times in 72 (Hoskins). Honestly, I think if we can keep him and Pawel fit we've got one of the better strike forces in the division. But we really need both to play as much as possible.
  2. Were like England we need to fit all our midfield maestros into one team and considering Stephens was compared to Gerrard we can swtich taylor over to the right and play Stephens out of position on the left, with Furman and Jones holding the fort in the middle. We should release Worthington. I like midfield steele but he's really not that good. Allott was better. We have Purdie as well whose a wide player.
  3. We have a transfer budget which already factored in the departure of Blitz and Gazal.
  4. Maybe they are delaying the announcement to get the website more hits as people keep checking until he actually signs. Or maybe he's on his way to Prenton Park.
  5. Hope the deal ant fallen through 'cause he's failed medical or something. I hope we don't sign Jon Macken either.
  6. I'm quite annoyed. I know it's only a friendly and all but I just hate throwing away leads late on. I probably shouldn't care but I just feel a frustration based on the fact that we were 10 minutes away from a positive win.
  7. Thats pretty bad. New manager, new regime, new signings and trialists. The first home friendly against a local Championship club who are playing a strongish team and we can only muster 1000. I know I'm not there so it sounds like the pot calling the kettle black. But 1000 is lower than I expected.
  8. I feel a little optimistic too mate. But then again I did last pre-season. Furman seemed like a quality signing, so did Abbott. Darlo fans raving about Purdie and it seemed like a clean slate after the team falling apart in Sheridans last season. For me we won't see the difference until 3 o'clock, Prenton park, 7th August.
  9. I'll wait until the inks on the paper before doing cartwheels. But it's a cracking signing if he stays fit. Here's hoping he doesn't do a Paul Underwood/Paul Heffernan/Ian Moore.
  10. Feeneys a striker that if he didn't have injury problems he would be playing in the Championship easily. He's a damn good striker and the sort of goalscorer we need to play off Abbott. I have my reservations about his fitness and injury problems but I can't help but think that this would be a damn good signing.
