  1. Would be a bit rich to criticise the fans after quite a number of poor judgments on their part in choosing managers. Im full of optimism but i like to see stability within the club and that's what im keen to see after the circus that was the second half of the season, it bordered on embarrassing at times

  2.

Thank you for all you've contributed to my club as a player and a manager Sheridan.

I touched on it in my post the other day how with circumstances and a lack of discipline in the dressing room a team never plays to its full potential. Im really sad about it all but a new face was needed. This isn't just about matches its about days off, gregan's drink driving, belle vue basically a off field situation which the owners were clearly unhappy about.

Sheridan you'll always be welcome at BP, i remember you coming out of retirement with your dodgy knee and being a midfield maestro with vision and a killer pass to die for

  3. Sweeping changes or swept under the carpet?

Not for the first time I'm going to trust TTA on this one.

I'm sure that whatever action is taken, it will be in the best interests of the club and with a view to putting our promotion bid back on track.

Ultimately the buck stops with the manager. I think Sheridan has done a lot of good for the club, in management terms bringing the younger players through but the late brian clough said a team never plays to its full potential when theres ill discipline in the squad and we plainly arnt playing as well as we could be.

Ive never wanted Shez out but youve got to think about the implications of all this, will things ever get back to how they were previously. Maybe a fresh face is the best answer

  4. Nowt to do with the cooking. Just more flavour in a sirloin or even rump than in fillet. But if the missus is payin you cant grumble

Ive spent the tail end of the week trying to block out the horror show that was bristol but i actually thought they were a decent pacy side but we didn't take the initiative. Impressive win that today sounds like we showed bags of character and im pleased windass was omitted, he doesn't want to know so why should we. Shez in all the way, never in doubt to me because if you look at the bigger picture look at the young players that have evolved into the side, taylor today getting the winner. Good blend of youth and experience.

Incidentally is it just chance Taylors return to his best coincided with Jones' return

  5. A season of excellent consistant and comitted performace bar yesterday or a naive full back out of his depth all season. I know what id rather take and ill definatly forgive and forget Rubes for yesterday.

Anyone else find it unfortunate his comments regarding committing himself to Oldham fell on the day we got the worst result since hes arrived.

All in all hes been excellent

  6. Well that was a shambles! 5-0 was lucky it shocking, should have been 7 or 8......... Only chances we created were shots way over the bar from 20 yards!

Just not good enough, players were not interested at all.... Lost for words it was so bad

I didn't go to the game chiefly as i haven't been well at all so i can't comment on today.

I did go to the home game against Hereford though where we beat them 4-0 and man for man Hereford were a million miles from being anywhere near a match for us. Given that was in October personnel and form will of changed slightly at both clubs but never enough to bridge the gulf in quality since that sunday.

The point im making is the only rational reason i can come up with is our attitude must of been appalling, we felt we could just turn up and roll them over. Naive and disrespectful to the opposition who lets remember are battling like hell to stay in the league and were gunning to avenge the mauling handed out to them by us earlier in the season.

I work in the building trade, just finished a job at christmas (new police headquarters at ashton moss, opposite snipe retail park). Been transferred to Media city which for those who don't know is going to become the new BBC of the north with studios, accommodation the lot its located at Salford quays replacing the existing building on Oxford road in manchester. Its huge with quite a few years of work so hopefully that will give me security but i never count my chickens.

  8. If I'm honest I agree with Dish. The fact that the home fans are getting in for a song isn't going to change my mind.

Don't get what the problem is with paying full price. Considering the things people waste money on a few quid more is a mountain out of a molehill. I can only imagine its students or the unemployed who can get upset over this but at the end of the day rules are rules and fortunately if you cannot make it you can watch it on tv.
