Have you heard the deafly silence from the global warming crowd recently. Milder winders with rain they said. Its freezing and when was the last time it properly bounced down? It snowed last week the only recent precipitation.

got back about 15 mins ago.
all good spirits, but it was evident once the covers came off in the penatly areas,it wasn't looking good-rock hard.
the areas where the heaters were had pretty much done their job,but though there was 4 of them(think),it really needed 10 of em!
AH was doing his best to twist the refs arm,but i think its best it's off...the temperatures was about +1 when we left but it wasn't going to improve much before 3pm...and the sun wasn't out with the cloud.
he seemed chuffed though that its now on for monday night.
cheers to AH for his very generous gifts for the kids-they love em!
Aw what did they give you?
Bristol Rovers gave people a bacon butty and a coffee for helping with their frost covers

Hi mate, welcome. Glad y'like the place....
LOL Blast from the past, i remember you on the old official boards. Consistently said you were going to beat us and consistent didn't. You seemed a nice guy tho!
-
canal frozen solid in Greenfield so it's a good job we are not playing here or on kidderz's lawn
It wouldn't of been a classic, negotiating an apple tree an all

Officially gutted. Definitely a well done to all the volunteers at least it can be said we gave ourselves the best possible chance. Some things are out of our hands. Jack Frost i hope your proud of yourself your evil and one of these days someones going to open a can of whoop ass on ya

I started to get optimistic yesterday afternoon but after opening the curtains this morning there's no chance IMO.
Depends on whether the covers/blowers was enough. Just walked over my lawn (just because i felt it was relevant) and it was rock solid

From Lee Hughes' point of view i can only see it encouraging him to stay.
Full credit to TTA its really not like us to be shrugging off competition for signatures, theres a hell of a lot we've missed out on. It just shows we mean business and its exciting to see
-
Alessandra's song? Let's think outside the box people!
Really pleased. Top signing

hooray!
god, that was a dragged out affair!
hughes and windy up front tomorrow...could be interesting (unless we hear of something else beforehand).
will be good to have a "big n daft " striker again too, something we've lacked for years.
should be an interesting next few months...who knows-even hughes might enjoy it and stay on for the final push?
welcome to BP ,windy!
Has it been officially announced yet? i don't subscribe to the SMS service

He'd be better than that pile of rubbish we had years ago... Allan Fart!
Coats well and truly on!
Thats why earlier Junior 'had to' Agogo
EDIT: Man i didn't think that joke thro

Ive just downed 3 cans of Grolsch and im shaking my head, that was very poor

I cant do Tuesday nights due to work. I work Sunday nights to so cant drink too much if it's on a Sunday, Monday night would be perfect
Although irrelevant. I'm slightly amazed people want it at 1.30 on Sunday. I hate Sunday games with a vengeance tho. Incidentally i voted Tuesday 7.45, Mondays ok but i like to break up the week.
-
Unrelated but one of my best mates lives in Kippax not far from Wakefield, not a bad night out in Wakey. Some beltin girls there too.
-
My god who cares if you wouldn't invite him round for Sunday lunch hes a big, barging, dirty, clever player id snap him up!
Id want all of the above to a half arsed performance.
The reason he can still cut it is because physical presence causes defenders problems at any level regardless of age. You only have to look at Lee Hughes' performance against Everton last season as a shining example of that.
-
SOCKGATE!
-
I don't follow this perception he's cocky. Last season i went to a Q&A session in one of the boxes on a tuesday night with him and shez and he didnt seem arrogant in the slightest. Similarly i saw him playing pool in royton on a couple of occasions keeping a low profile. Just because he gets a bit fiery on the pitch doesn't mean he has an attitude

I know there was some segregation but that still seems Low for a stand that Holds 4000?
Having watched the clip from the udders fans I don’t see where the other 1000+ could have gone?
First couple of rows right at the front were netted off but that ain't a thousand

Hmmm, after the MC singing 'who are ya' at the Town fans singing the name of their club during the minute's applause for the life of one of their legends. Embarrassing.
Agreed. I didn't like that at all, thats the trouble with the minutes applause its seen as ok to make noise throughout it

Agree with a lot on this thread but Taylor looks hugely unsettled to me and has done the last 2/3 games. I'm sure theres something happening hes normally picking the ball up and driving at the opposition and in his body language he looks frustrated and not all there to me??
Is it just me thinking that?
-
The club is widely reported to be losing £15k per week, we sign a striker for a fee. Our fukwit manager doesn't know how to accomodate the striker around his chums, so ships the guy out on loan. Why spend months tracking players then not give them a decent run???
Same with Maher, Lee, and countless others he's signed.
Livid!
Davies and Alessandra would be above O'grady in the pecking order i would of thought. Hes not going to be playing games here?
-
Yes, Porter's gran...
It was funny how to rumour spread like wildfire through the concourse and the lower teir at molineux.
Aye remember it well, warne put us one up as well that day didn't he?
-
Lol, this made me smile. Thanks!
That with porter was because his gran died wasn't it.
So what your saying here is if someone tells me at the Galpharm tomorrow weve sold Taylor/Hughes (even tho in the corner of my eye i see they're warming up) i SHOULDNT run around like a homicidle maniac shouting 'Oh no its terrible, have you heard the news'. Ok ill just buy a pie and behave myself

I know it's not new year just yet in the UK, but as we have supporters here on OWTB who reside in Australia et al and it is now 1st January there, I thought I would post happy new year wishes to our friends on the other side of the world.
Happy New Year and Keep The Faith everyone
Cheers,
Harry
Well said there.
Happy New Year to everyone, hope it'll be a belter for all.
Maybe the year we finally get promoted, who knows.
Regards Andy/Kidderz

Wonder if they'll start doing them in 'Obsessions' on Yorkshire Street.
I would love that. If i was involved id purposely lose and say 'Oh you got me there, guess id better be punished'
Like i say IF i was involved
Gosh Warney we loved you too...

People who park there on matchdays should take note, saves queuing to get out for half an hour after the game. 'Boo hoo we drew to Yeovil at home' etc
