Season ticket for me too. Sitting next to my 5 year old half-brother, teaching him it's ok to say ':censored:' as long as someone has said 'united'.

And trying not to laugh when hearing that he's been singing "Ferguson, your dad's a :censored:, your mum is at home" in the playground.

we are lucky to be where we are really, look at big cities like chester and oxford both with non-league clubs. sometimes you have to be gratefull for small mercies.

Don't get me wrong, I don't support barracking the players, or targeting any particular individual, but ffs, if the lad is to go on and play at a higher level, he's going to have to cope with the pressure of tens of thousands of fans watching his every move. If he's struggling to deal with a few spotty chavs giving him grief (which I doubt by the way) then he's going to have big problems if he does step up.

I assume he's saying, correctly IMO, that if the Latics fans continue to belittle and bemoan his performances then his low confidence will limit his development as a player, not forgetting he's not even 21 yet.

 

He's clearly got talent and potential. However struggles for confidence at Latics. For Wales he's seen as a future prospect here he's seens as useless. Clearly there's a conflict there and I'd side with the International scouts as opposed to some fat bloke in the chaddy end to be honest.

If his career is going to be ruined by a few moans and groans when he shanks another 50 yard pass into the Lookers terrace, then he's probably in the wrong profession to start with.

Hate these silly things of 'if you take away these games'. As Oafc0000 pointed out, you judge a season the whole. We are were we are because of the games we've so far played this season!

Some might say we got lucky early doors. We could quite easily have lost against Millwall, Colchester, Tranmere, MK Dons - then we would have been in the :censored:.

Without being rude to the trust - several of my friends are on it's board - it's share of Oldham Athletic is less than worthless. It gives them no power whatsoever. The fact that they paid something like £200,000 for it (IIRC?) is crazy!

It wasn't purchased for 'power' reasons Ackey. It's a way in, a foot in the door. Talk to Dave Ogden about the problems faced during the SAFE days. Holding that 3% gives us a seat on the board - a chance for the fans to be heard, and for our representative to at least know what's going on.

This is better for cup games than league games, but might fill a few gaps: FCHD

I have the mp3 version if anyone wants a copy. It's great when it comes up (in shuffle mode) on my iPod, completely stops me in my tracks for 7 mins!

Shirts won't fit, but I've got a can of the lager that was produced for Wembley. Don't think I'll drink it though - would probably miss the match as I'd be stuck on the bog!
