Is it bollocks. If it was all about getting behind the team, the majority of the singers would sit in the middle of the stand, and try and get the whole stand rocking, rather than sitting as close to the opposition fans as possible and singing songs to them all night.

I welcome the need to maximise the income by accommodating as many away fans as possible but I'm glad i will be at the opposite end, the one the team like playing towards. perhapos someone didn't tell the players that the chaddy is no longer the home end?

I think the players like playing towards the Chaddy as playing that way they're going downhill, rather than uphill.

Yep - I meant it was good to see the conference games were doing silence, as opposed to our applause.

Friend of mine is a county fan and tells me the game at their place is likely to be moved to the Friday night, as Sale rugby have a home game on the Saturday which is going to be televised.

You can sign another 100 players, but if they aren't in the positions you need then you still have a problem.

not played this for about ten years so i bought it and the makers of this game obviously rated our team for last season. i went up through the play offs 1st season with the squad we started the season with didnt buy or loan anyone and let killer and bertrand go back in jan. davies top scorer 17 in 41 value £1m. rickets 14 in 30 odd hughes 9 in 21 always injured. taylor £1.2m played most of the season at left wing back eardley £775k, allott £400k, mcdonald £350k.

i even played greegs and crossley all season!!!!

i love the way the attributes change so rapidly, should have taylor in u21's this season..

Funny you should mention Bournemouth. I sat in the Chaddy for the Bournemouth game, and could hear them singing. I sat in the Rocky for the Cheltenham game, but couldn't hear the Chaddy - could see them clapping and their mouths going, but no sound.

I would love Morrell - a real experienced pro, perfect to have on the bench when things are going wrong, to bring on and setup Hughes for a goal. Big, strong and has a good footballing brain (like Hughes).

Having been in there on Sat, I'd say anything from row Z back (AA, etc) would be fine, weather wise.

What I don't get is if the club don't want people on the pitch, why don't they put stewards on the inside of the stand, rather than on the pitch. Lot harder to get past a load of stewards preventing you climbing up, rather than trying to stop you when you're already half way over.

As I said, fully expected them to be announced this week. Think the club is shooting itself in the foot if it waits any longer....as some have said they'd like to pay for ST's at the last home game. Get them announced Latics!
