How do know he wasn’t there. Did you check every part of the ground? You’re beginning to sound like a broken record.
BP goes to chapel rd regularly and if he was there you couldn’t help but see him….I didn’t see him yesterday either and one or two attendees mentioned it too so I’m guessing he probably wasn’t there!

out on loan two division above us and Kurt on loan at a similar level to us. shudnt have done them any harm.
I don’t think Kurt was ever given a proper chance here tbh but I’d wager neither will play for us again.

yeah l'd give him at least pre season to look like he gives a toss
I’ve seen enough of him already and he absolutely doesn’t!!

Tyrese Sinclair was being linked with us in the window yet has been released by Rochdale. Has he refused a new contract?….seems a little strange.

3-0 to Latics, some great passing football played.
Yes they play a lot differently to the 1st team. No team sheet so hadn’t a clue who was who but for me, 3,4,6,& 9 were the standouts. I believe the No.4 is currently being chased by Accrington.
Was Atherton No.7 BP?

Maybe under a different manager but his time under Mellon is finished I would think!

But if recent rumours are to be believed only Garner will be here.

I’m pretty sure he said that was the intention from day one…

Doesn’t surprise me - but on the other hand isn’t there an element of nobhead behaviour in every squad at every club.
Mellon should absolutely drive team ethic and professionalism, but he also needs to pick his battles for the greater good.
When you stack up all the stories this season it’s clear there’s a culture and mindset problem, I just hope he doesn’t alienate the players while trying to maintain standards. He needs them on side.
Could be a symptom of the Unsworth period?

Don’t be surprised if there is a change to Mickey’s coaching staff too.
You’re going to have to put some meat on those bones after that comment!!

By free to leave, obviously meaning not arsed if he wants to be transferred elsewhere if someone wants him
Well if that’s the case we’ll need at least 2 more strikers and that’s providing Fondop is re-signed.
We’ll effectively have lost Norwood, Hope, Reid, Willoughby and Nuttall!!

Got told Norwood did something naughty. He's free to leave apparently. Not sure how true
Free to leave!!! He’s on £5k a week apparently. If true there’s no way he’s free to leave!!

You'd think the same conversation will be had with Nuttall and Willoughby on their return from loan.
I’m pretty sure those conversations have already taken place!

Cian Hayes. Played very well in the Spotland game.
But anonymous in the BP fixture!

I honestly don’t think everything is entirely rosy in the camp TBH…. Maybe MM was angry and could have been speaking out of frustration, however, whether they were true or not the board cannot possibly be happy with the timing of some of those comments that he made after the Wealdstone game.

I expect 4-5 to come in as players who will be earmarked as first choices.
As long as they’re not like Conlon, Hammond, Dallas, Walker & Sachdev I’ll be fine with it….

As an update, aforementioned golf mate apologised to me yesterday - Nuttall was MOTM in Cheltenham's win over Peterborough and, quote, "terrorised the goalkeeper", "jumped like a salmon" and generally was unplayable!

Of course, you see them every other week at BP but not in our team I might add!

You have to admit, the 1st team coach should show an interest in the youth players coming through and there’s really no substitute for seeing them in the flesh so to speak.
I’ve heard loads of reports from BP1960 throughout the season but Saturday was the 1st time I’d seen them for myself and I have to admit to being impressed by 3 or 4 of them.
The No2, No4, No6, and No9, could have played some part in the last game or been on the bench. They are far more skilful confident & mobile than some of our regulars.
It’s a big step up admittedly, but it would surely have been a worthwhile exercise and a reward for having a good season.
