Yeah you’re right Really pissed off last night with another half arsed performance but my views haven’t changed much after I’ve slept on it. I just fail to see how so many players, who’ve performed exceptionally well previously at their respective clubs have come here and suddenly turned to shit! If he can’t shift enough players out in the summer he’s basically written next season off with his ‘need for change’ comments. This has come at the worst possible time just as ST renewals are due……I admire his honesty but I can’t imagine the board being too impressed at the timing.….I’ll be getting mine but I can understand why many won’t bother now! Maybe a decision on Mellon will be made at the end of the ‘early bird’ period in early May? He has to take some responsibility for the mess we are in and the board have a massive decision to make. If they believe he is the man for a ‘rebuild’ and we’re sticking with him then IMO he needs at least the whole of next season to deliver otherwise what is the point? We can’t afford a repeat of last season…..It would be crazy giving him the budget to blow if by Christmas we then sack him because we’re only mid table…. It wouldn’t surprise me if he walked at the end of the season and TBH I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it either.

If the board are backing Mellon next season then they need to act decisively. As has been said, every single player out of contract needs to go to free up the budget. Although it will be expensive, we need shut of Willoughby, Nuttall (who I’m pretty sure will both be returning after their loans finish) Shelton, Tollitt and any others who won’t be considered for the 1st team. We’ll be paying them in full for sitting on their arses so if they ain’t playing and we can’t find them a club we should bite the bullet and pay em off. We need as clean a slate as possible because having them around the club will only cause more unrest and disruption! If we do that then I think we’ll have reasonable a chance of going up . If we don’t I fear we could be down in this division for some considerable time.

I don’t condone the behaviour of a minority but you can’t blame the fans who’ve travelled far and wide this season and been rewarded with yet another shit show. I can’t believe these players are as bad they’ve consistently shown!

We know these players aren’t top quality but we surely have to do better than that?

This guys hot at least 16 or 17 of this lot contracted for next season…do we really think it will be any different?

MELLON OUT!!! Now then…..I’ve said it!! All the players we’ve signed whether it be Unsworth, Mellon or whoever , are all players from a higher level or players who have performed exceptionally well for their previous clubs in this division. That was fucking awful again and I don’t buy this, they’re not his players! I can understand a problem with one or two but FFS he should be able to get a performance out of this lot. We are stuck with about 16 of these players next season so why will it be any different! I was fucking livid watching that…..no more excuses, he looks as half arsed as the players. Him being here next season should definitely not be a given….the board need to decided whether or not he’s the man to take us forward. I honestly don’t think he is. Not bothering going to the Halifax game now wherever it is and will be seeking a refund! Absolutely disgusted with my football club!

I remember Mellon saying he wouldn’t be wasting Frank’s money. Well….we got 6 players in who’ve hardly featured and who haven’t even hit the ground never mind started running, and have made no difference whatsoever.

Of course we are underperforming! Apart from the obvious culprits, individually these players can’t all be shit but collectively, as a team, they undoubtedly are, and that has to be in some part, down to the manager. In my mind after 6 months we should be able to at least be starting to see what a Mellon team is likely to look like……however, at this stage l have absolutely no idea! It would undoubtedly help if he kept as settled a side as possible instead of tinkering with formations and personnel every bloody week! We obviously need a few players in certain positions to improve us but he did say himself at the end of January that he was ‘more than happy with what he had yet these last few weeks have been a disaster!
