  1. Do we think a poor performance/heavy loss will have repercussions for Mellon….the board can’t be happy the way things are going?
  2. Not a horror show but it was definitely bad…I think because of the shite we’ve had to endure in recent times that categorising a performance is rather difficult nowadays. Games that were once classified as piss poor are now deemed as quite acceptable!
  3. Sheron would be all over the place…man marking Conn-Clarke is the last job I’d give Sheron!
  4. Sutton for McGahey and Walker or Hope to the bench.
  5. He did…because he didn’t agree with the direction the Lemmies wanted to go by bringing in cheap foreign imports. Its a shame Frank & Co weren’t here because he would never have got out of the door!!
  6. I’ve seen a couple of references to say that their budget is about 16th/17th in Div 2
  7. We seem to be looking and hoping for reactions after every game lately….its not happening is it? If we put in another poor performance there will be no let up from the terraces and rightly so…… Mellon has had a relatively easy ride from our supporters so far but the honeymoon period is well and truly over! If we start badly and get rolled over again he’d better be prepared for a proper backlash because I fear it could get really ugly tomorrow!!
  8. He’s worked hard to get Barrow punching way above their weight and challenging for automatic promotion on a budget well down in the bottom half. He’ll probably be a target for clubs much higher up in the summer, especially if he manages promotion. Why would he come here and have to start all over again? Anyone other than the Lemsagam’s would have kept him on, he was the perfect fit for us and a Latics fan too!! I reckon that we’d have to get out of this league first for him to ever consider a return and that looks a long way off unfortunately! He’s Oldham through & through and would have been the perfect fit alongside the Rothwell’s but I think that ship has well & truly sailed.
  9. How can the pressure be off, it’s a must win for us….if we lose we’re fucked!! It’s not a must win for them.
  10. The pressure to get a result at Altrincham will be immense. We don’t do pressure and I think we will probably already be beaten before we kick off! I can’t see any way that we can win on Monday! I dread to think what sort of reaction they’ll get from fans if we start badly…. Not the best preparation for selling Season tickets!
  11. They are well within their right’s to remove him anytime surely, it’s the small matter of contract compensation they would have to deal with putting them off I would think? However, I sincerely hope that after the Unsworth debacle the contract is somewhat performance based!!
  12. The fact we have a squad of about 35 players and yet can’t get 11 of them to play half decent for 45mins never mind 90 is mind boggling! The football is absolutely dire!! He’s obviously going to get the summer and a window to sort it out but with a total lack of progress to date, 30 games in, (2/3 of a season) I have no confidence in him whatsoever. If we are rolling along in 8th/10th at Christmas will that be acceptable? How long should he actually get?
  13. Sick to the back teeth of this absolute shite. This is much worse than it was even under Unsworth, WTF is going on here? We have more than capable, experienced players who are just not cutting it….Hobson now looks so uncomfortable with the ball at his feet, Kitching is a shocking player who goes backwards or sideways at every opportunity. How is McGahey getting a game at FB before Sutton or Sachdev? Hogan is dropping bollocks left right & centre and Conlon is a non-entity. Hammond is like a rabbit in the headlamps and doesn’t look like he has a clue how to play. We have two strikers who’ve proved themselves at a far higher level who have had absolutely no service whatsoever and have to try and get on the end of hopeful hoofs from Hudson and the back four. Garner spends even more time on the floor than Fondop! I don’t know as to how much longer Mellon can churn out this repetitive after match bull shit. He’s had about 30 games now to put his stamp on our football club and IMO he has failed miserably in just about every aspect. It wouldn’t be so bad if you could see some green shoots of improvement or a recognisable style of play but there’s absolutely nothing to suggest he has the faintest clue as to how to improve us…..It has been a total shambles and if I were Frank I honestly wouldn’t be giving him another penny of my hard earned!!
  14. I have been informed it’s for the 100 club whose seats they are moving into my block (E) to be more central…money talks…..if they were to increase it to the 200 club would I have to move again?
  15. If they play anything like they did in their home fixture we’ll have our work cut out to get a win! With our dodgy home record I’m not confident at all.
  16. TBF he always gives his all and can cover several positions, just because he’s signed a new deal doesn’t mean to say he’ll be a definite starter. He’s good enough to be in the match day squad!
  17. They still represent good value but it’s inevitable that numbers will be down on last year. The home form has been truly shocking and it looks like the likelihood of a playoff place has all but evaporated. My ST price of under £10 a game will still one of if not the cheapest in the league and I’ll be renewing no question, however, I can fully understand why some will not. We have to improve the matchday experience especially at home, if Mellon cannot manage to do that and we find ourselves with yet another new manager interest will probably decrease still further and we could end up in this league for a good while longer!
  18. Same here but I’m not happy at having to move seat to accommodate 100 club members!
  19. The fact that they were the cheapest in the league by some distance. They will still be cheaper than most.
  20. The fact that it’s merely possible rather than probable is what hurt’s!!
  21. Fylde are much improved of late. They beat us hands down at their place in a totally one sided game. They will certainly not fear coming here with our home record and If they can produce a similar display we will be in deep shit!! Non of this keep it tight and nick one attitude we need to be on the front foot from the first whistle. This is an absolute must win game, lose it and I don’t see any way back!
