I will take a team that’ll spank us if it’s actually a decent away day.

Manchester is an awful City and their away end is shit because you’re split over 3 tiers.

You get the full top tier in the cup at City I think - didn’t see any Rotherham fans in the lower tier in the highlights yesterday

Will it really be a decent away day if we lose 7-0? I think not...

We've had the big day out. Don't really fancy one of the big 6 away because we'd probably get hit for double figures.

Fill BP under the lights or get Barnet at home and get some extra prize money in the coffers. Yesterday was so perfect anything onwards is just a bonus.

In some ways, I agree. Do you really want City away, and to lose 8, 9, 10 nil?

It's not even pessimism, just don't want to watch us get a real beating - it won't have been fun for Rotherham

Exactly. We should be beating the likes of Fulham - small time, only up there with someone else's money. They'll be back at our level before too long.

    :D

Historically we’re surely not much different size-wise to them. A quick look and they were getting 4000 at home games in the early 90s...

Love Man Utd away but if I were a betting man I'd say Brighton away.

Be some away day that if we were to do the unthinkable.

Selfishly hoping for Arsenal, Chelsea or Spurs away. Failing them Barnet. However a big game under the lights at BP would be special, especially considering we've not had one with the four stands yet.

Marginally sobering that the attendance was over 8,000 lower than Fulham's season average.

In the meantime The Times says that's it for Surridge but as it also gives Missilou 6/10 they clearly don't know everything.

Not really. They’re bottom of the league and are shite. No wonder most of their fans didn’t bother turning up when they didn’t need to.

Talking about Tarky here or Edmondson?

Decent centrehalfs and young ones at that are thin on the ground and Edmondson has all the attributes to play at an higher level, most don't mature fully until their mid 20's both physically and mentally and he's steadily improving particularly with Clarke looking after him in games, these young defenders are going to have off games, even the more experienced ones like Lovren and Jones don't get everything right so mistakes will happen it's how they react and learn that's important, certainly wouldn't be giving him away for 200k in the current climate.

I hope he shows the promise Tarky did, however he’s not far off the age at which Tarky moved on I think, and he was head and shoulders above everybody else at League 1 level week-in-week-out when Brentford took him. I’m not sure you’d say anything like that about Edmundson and we're In the division below.

Nevertheless we’re comparing him to a lad who has made England appearances. Perhaps George has potential to rise the leagues soon, I’m not so sure.

  7. We shouldn’t be in a position where we don’t know where to ascribe the blame for poor performances due to possible direct interference from the Chairman.

Until that uncertainty is quelled we’ll be a circus. For me it’s just a real shame that another rookie manager hasn’t been given the chance to demonstrate his capabilities, or lack of them. That will continue.

Just got through to the club secretary as the ticket office number routes to him when the ticket office is busy. He's said the site has crashed and they've had to take my number as they have a long list to phone back. Couldn't guarantee tickets as they're selling fast. Every time I deal with the ticket office it's a shambles!!

We're a small club with a budget and experience peak times very rarely so don't have the infrastructure to cope. I'm sure they're trying their hardest, unless you want to queue down Sheepfoot Lane again...

With the reported prices of beer down there can anyone recommend a good street corner or park I can sup my cans of skol and smoke my buda?

There's a few Sam Smith pubs knocking about where it's 3.50ish a pint. Got to look hard though.

Should be well over 2000. With a couple of wins starting on Saturday we could well sell out!

We’ll sell out regardless of wins. It’s been in general sale for one weekday day, is it?

Sure they’ll give us as many tickets as we need beyond the initial 2500

  11. Watching his goal against Crewe it got me thinking how full of admiration we all are for the same bloke that I (and I’m sure many others) loathed every time we played against Huddersfield

Wonder if there are any others anybody can think of who have defied their infamy when they’ve stuck on a blue shirt...

Also, anybody know how many appearances he’s made for us without quoting Wiki?

Just cannot see us taking large numbers to this one. 850-900 would be decent I reckon.

I'd be amazed if more people wouldn't fancy a slice of an FA Cup third round to a Prem team in London when we regularly take half that to places like Peterborough

Don't understand the negativity with this draw. So many fans now only seem bothered about the club earning money than having a decent experience themselves at a good away day. It's odd.
