We’ll lose this and there’s gonna be a big backlash against the players
This is enormous

I’d be satisfied with a draw at Spotland and think we’ll have to overtake somebody above us or hope Wimbledon stay beneath us to stay up ourselves, as I think Rochdale are well up for the fight

If he is put on gardening leave will he be helping the groundsman?
I’m not sure what’s worse between the total speculation of the original post or this unfunny shitpost, but I’m certain neither should be on here

Games that we should have arguably won or at least got a point.
MK Dons 4-4 (a)
Scunthorpe 2-3 (h)
Wimbledon 0-0 (h)
Gillingham 0-0 (a)
Doncaster 1-1 (a)
Fleetwood 1-2 (h)
Bristol 1-1 (h)
Shrewsbury 0-1 (a)
Charlton 0-1 (a)
Posh 0-3 (a)
Plymouth 1-2 (h)
Oxford 0-0 (a)
Walsall 0-0 (a)
I've bolded the one's which I think are clear cut, the other ones are up for debate but it does show how many games where we have crafted our own downfall. The MK 4-4 was down to poor subs. Wimbledon and Gillingham 0-0's I still don't know how we didn't win those.
Charlton and Shrews were during the period without the loanees but both sides didn't offer much and we should have come away with at least a point and obviously I think we should have won the last two games.
Thoughts? We didn’t even come close to scoring away at Charlton. We were in their half a bit second half but that’s about it

And yet sacking the manager consistantly has lead to us going where exactly?
That arguement only holds up if changing the manager is something we havent tried before.
Also if you read what people are saying we all want better knowone has sat their saying we dont want better than 17th in league 1
I’d say chronic lack of investment has caused that, not sacking managers

Based on what...?
That he’s clearly a good player who came out of nowhere, does daft stuff and gets under the opposition’s skin
That’s textbook cult hero

Sign this lad up
Cult hero written all over him

With so many variables dictating the attendance of supporters on a weeknight, all-ticket matches should be avoided at all costs

I'm expecting we'll also see the back of this ridiculous £24 potd charge next season, if these initiatives are anything to go off

Think it was a 6 month deal?
Just checked and it is til end of season
That’s a shame. Think he’s the best import of the lot since Abdallah got involved.

We’ve got Moimbe for a couple of years haven’t we?

Gardner – good enough but barely. While he doesn’t really put a tackle in, he’s good to have late in the game when defending the counter attack because he’s strong and athletic enough to cover. Going forward he’s decent on the ball (see the ball to Hunt for the stonewall pen) but Byrne often puts him to shame. If we are going to push up the league next season then I’m not sure he should be first choice.
This is about right on Gardner. He begun the season as the pick of the midfield, which admittedly wasn’t difficult, but nevertheless he was excellent. I feel that he’s somebody who is either very hot or very cold, and there’s little inbetween, which is not ideal when Fane has such a consistently glaring deficiency to his game. Since that start he’s relied more on the tricky little Cruyff turns and less on the incisive passing which made him look nifty on the ball.
I’d like to see him replaced by an older head. Somebody who will perform at a 7/10 (hopefully better) each week and consistently feed the attackers, which should discipline Byrne into staying where he's meant to be

McEleney has a bizarre physique which doesn’t immediately make you think footballer. A bit like Tom Pope. However he looks very sharp with his feet and I reckon he’ll have a big performance to settle before the season ends

Moimbe was playing to the boos from the crowd on his way up the tunnel when the bald bloke from Oxford appeared to say something, so Byrne got himself involved in a slight fracas.
I like this guy. Looks to have settled quickly and he’s pretty handy as a player.

Fane booked. Surely has to be subbed now.

Scoring just 31 goals last season was much more offensive.
Oldham have always conceded goals and lots of them, it is the Oldham way.
Never heard anything less deyres than that second sentence

Not a post about Ray Wilkins, but I’ve just seen a BBC Sport story about the death of Dermot Drummy, the former Crawley manager, from suicide, not too long after being sacked by the club
It’s a stark reminder that the game is a life to many people, and it’ll certainly make me think before I post for a time

Who knows but imagine how good he could be if he appreciated the undoubted ability he has and acted like the professional he is paid to be.
He's 21 and has had an ineffective run, for which you're making a total assumption is down to a poor attitude. You're acting as if he's a washed up 30 year old former prodigy.

Wins a win.
Byrnes attitude fucking stinks, I know he will feel aggrieved because he is being asked to do something he doesn't want to at times but his lack of respect and more importantly professionalism is a sad sight, talent is unquestionable but its not difficult to see why many a manager won't entertain him.
Would he have changed the game today without that 'stinking' attitude?
Wilfried Moimbe signs?

Scrap all I said. He can go for me, and I hope we don’t see him in an Oldham shirt again.
Liability that can’t be trusted.
