If Tranmere sing a song it'll feel more hostile than Rochdale..
Yeah they’re the definition of a family club through and through

League next season is quite Southern, so I'd expect both sides will take decent followings of 1500+ if we're both doing alright.
Even if they didn't bring 1000, or we didn't take the same to their place at times it always felt a bit more hostile than Rochdale ever has done to me
-
Last season’s shirts were the best for absolutely ages
For a tenner each, can’t complain
-
Glad Tranmere are back up. A decent rivalry for once. Beats Rochdale bringing 800 fans to our place and us pretending we can compete with Blackburn, Bolton etc.
Still, bunch of Bin Dippers...

That isn’t what unanimous means.
I hadn’t even realised there was a poll on this thread. I was going by the gist of what I’d read since relegation.
Also, looking over that question, voting that you’d retain Wellens doesn’t even necessarily mean you think he’s deserved it...
-
I’m interested as to what this says about Lemsagem.
On one hand is it thay he’s trying to appear unlike the perception of foreign owners chopping and changing or is this genuinely his strategy to stick by managers?
I think it’s pretty unanimous with fans that Wellens hasn’t done enough to deserve another crack at it, so for an owner to persevere in the face of that is quite unusual
-
Began the day telling everybody at work we we’re going to struggle, read that statement on my lunch and ended up telling everyone we’ll be going back up. That’s what it’s all about isn’t it

Difficult to complain about the Abdallah signings if you're responsible for bringing in Benyu, Pringle and McEleney.
It's funny looking back at comments that Shez had to go because of his refusal to play Placide, whom he didn't rate. And Placide turned out to be a bit shit after all.
Have we now reached the consensus that McEleney is shit?

What a shit club Rochdale are. Relegate their nearest neighbour and they can’t even muster a decent wind-up on this forum.
Glad I don’t support them chumps
-
The original post makes its point well, but I don’t think the fact Wellens has a connection to the club justifies staying at the helm, nor does the fact that we might appoint a foreign coach who doesn’t know the league
For me Wellens has to go. We failed with a team that shouldn’t have, and most tellingly at the point at which it mattered Wellens couldn’t get a response from them. That’s as basic as it gets.
A manager who knows the league and players who know the league, I hope. Sprinkling a few exotic signings is fine but the number we’ve had this season that have literally had no influence whatsoever is criminal
-
If we had this team with a decent manager and a decent pre-season we’d stroll League Two

I don't care what the attendance is as long as I've got a club to watch
Dunno about you but I prefer turning up to a ground that looks half full

Whats the relevance of that comment?
You said 3000 'gates' - that includes home and away support?!
On topic of home support - will it be that affected? Will it heck. Those who bought STs last season and seasons previously are the diehard core. Apart from a very small number of 'dummy spitters', they'll still resubscribe.
Anyone got data data on the ST sales for last 10 seasons plus demographic of ages 0-30, 30-55 and 55+? I would argue that not only do we have a hardcore fanbase but one where the younger demographic is static or growing.
Relegation will not affect gate or ST sales
We only push 3000 now for shitty home games - almost every game next year will be under that category. Only 300 have to give up for us to be beneath 3000.
I couldn’t care less about away supporters.
-
Looking at the run-in we had, to not pick up even one victory against Gillingham, Walsall, Northampton, Southend, Oxford, Rochdale, Wimbledon and Doncaster is criminal. Even if we had a poor squad I’d expect them to rally together for a single victory in those fixtures
Bottejob bastards

Out of the 23 home games, I reckon we'll get at least one third of those above 3,000.
If you include away fans we will but home fans we’ll badly struggle

Things are still very raw, but I wonder what impact this will have on our home crowd. It wouldn't surprise me if we see a few more sub 3,000 gates.
We’ll be lucky to have any 3000 gates next season. Not even saying it as doom-mongering. We just won’t.

He’s a terrible manager. I hold nothing against the man. But he can’t manage a decent football team to League 1 safety, that’s all.
If we want to avoid relegation next season we need a new man in place

Heart has dropped.
We totally deserve it though. And I knew it would happened. Bottleless bastards.
I know which direction we’re heading, and it’s not back to the league we’ve come from

cannot believe how many folk are already thinking we will lose.....ffs biggest game for a long time when our fate is entirely in our hands....for all those attending tomorrow, we need the majority encouraging the team and not fkin moaning from the very start....if ever we need everyone to Keep the Faith it is tomorrow from Ko to the final whistle....once the game is over, those who find it helpful can moan till the fkin cows come home
Biggest game since the last biggest game, which we failed to win in, and the one before that, which we didn’t win, and....
You get the gist

I'm fed up of reading posts about so called what is going on in the background, Charlton playing a soft team, other forums wanting us down etc.
It is up to the team and manager tomorrow to understand what it means to our supporters who follow them year in year out both home and mainly away .We will support our team from the start and want them to show the same passion and pride to wear the shirt like we do.If we go out so be it provided all the team and manager give it their all from the start.I will not accept though anything less.
Given that it seems evident that it hasn’t transmitted well to the players at all it’s important what team Charlton put out.
Anything less than a full strength team if a reasonable goal swing is possible would be lunacy
-
Disappointed, then apathetic, then excited for the coming season (barring more silly shenanigans in the summer)
Will tell you tomorrow, as I expect us to drop

Does it mention Wellens having an interview for another job this week?
Has Kelly moved on from Hyde?

You’d rather have another Gardner or Fane in ? No goal threat then ? We concede goals anyway so we must try to score. I don’t believe dropping Byrne is the answer to any of our problems. If our manager played him correctly we’d be twice the team we are.
Im surprised Gardner hasn’t scored a few more goals this season. He does genuinely possess a real eye for goal and has done everywhere he’s been. I know he’s been played quite deep but I still expected a few more goals

Glad we are still experimenting and throwing random formations out there going into probably the biggest game in 20 odd years, goes some way to explaining the position we find ourselves in.
When you say it like that and a post a few down from yours plays 3 or 4 players in different positions to the previous week, it really does go to show what a shambles we’ve been under Wellens. Beggars belief it’s the final day of the season

Especially considering the lack of variation. We can’t sell many shirts can we?
