He's hardly progressed, in fact looks worse than when he came.
I think he's slowly becoming more assured in controlling his box, but for me he was always more of a shot stopper, its very rare you find someone who his both a good shot stopper and good at claiming the ball from crosses.
-
Has Mimms improved Oxley ?...
you cant expect him to become world class in 14 games or however many it is, i think his shot stopping looks very good, he is a bit hesitant on crosses and does make mistakes but you need to judge over the course of a season IMO

I presume the 2 players in may have been in the pipeline previously, if not it is a bit heavy handed.

i dont get how people can winge 1 week about us changing the team at wolves and saying we should stick with a winning team and then the next week moan when he sticks with the team that started the last match we won saying we should have changed it. yes we got beat and yes they are not the best in this league but as others have said, neither are we. we were missing tarky, arguably our best player and definitely best defender. Im as a annoyed as the next man that we lost but you have to pick out the positives as well as the negatives.

#Scunthorpe return for Cliff Byrne on hold, but #OAFC defender remains an Iron target. http://tinyurl.com/m3yqqzx

I think he posts on here occasionally
We could do with more like him :-)

I'll give everyone Ronnie Moore and fair play. But how many of you then wanted him out?
Me he was a Dick

Ok, Lee Johnson has ambition,he has a great work ethic and seems to have his head screwed on ! on the face of it he seems like an ideal candidate for a managerial position.
He also appears to be Dickov mk11, outstanding candidate, blew everyone away in the interview etc
I welcome the lad to Boundary Park and genuinley hope he is wonderfully successful but the timing of his appointment, being in the middle of a relegation dogfight is unfortunate to say the least.
Baptism of fire it is then, Good luck Lee, i have a feeling you are going to need it .

That was a poor team selection i am afraid, we play a top premier league team away with Baxter and Furman in midfield then at home against a team of third division cloggers we go back to the dynamic, defensive duo of Furman and Wes.
Smith starting ( no disrespect to the lad himself ) acts only as an invitation to his teammates to launch the ball into the stratosphere.
Oh and Simpson in place of Obita ? sorry Tony but you F*****d up bigtime today ...
-
Think Furman will leave for a championship club due to his exposure with ACON , Croft will be out of our league salary wise, unfortunately and i feel Simpson will be on his way also.

They could let all the 400+ portsmouth fans that made the journey hit him in the balls, that would teach him. They should also make him issue a grovelling apology to their 400+ extremely loyal supporters who made that monsterous round trip, only to see their chances of coming away with something spoiled by that Grade A knob jockey.

IF !! Dowie has been offered a deal and Knocked it back then we should move on !
I can understand if he would prefer the security of the sky gig, i could understand him wanting to manage a club higher up the leagues or one with greater financial resources. Yep, i wouldn't begrudge him at all but, if he is holding us to ransom over cash he can step outside and make a phone call as far as i am concerned
-
Sorry to hear the bad news Mikey but loving your positive slant on the events oh, you needn't worry about your Dad, the higher up the view is the better the game looks
-
I would prefer to continue with the same 11 that started yesterday,if we were at Goodison trying to hopefully force a replay then i would be tempted to bring back Furman at the expense of Obita but, what the hell let's give it our best shot with a decent looking subs bench.

i don't care about interviews Prozac, i want to see conformation of a new Gaffer !Interviews are not the issue
-
Well that's bloody great, glued to these pages like some kind of freak awaiting conformation of the new messiah !!!
no one is arsed
-
Can't fault him returning at all, gives us another body in what is at the moment a very small squad !
I don't expect Murray to be the player he was 9 years ago but unless he has developed Alzheimers and forgotten what the round thing at his feet is, he will be only second to Jose in the pass to another blue shirt stake.
Probably more useful still is his experience, reading and knowledge of the game.
We do still need a striker though ;-)
-
Could we get Moore back in, Sort out a bit more gardening leave
-
Hope he's not banned from the hospitality lounge.
Wasn't Bob Young once banned from the ground ? thought you may remember BP
-
The issue is they go on loan to non league clubs so even if they play well its a huge difference between league 1 and non leagueTest them by sending them out on loan and keeping an eye on them. The only way if we can't/won't give them enough competitive reserve games
-
I really couldn't care less about today's result, we had won much more before the kick off with that news !!!
Totally amazed with that contract, well done SC PD and welcome back to the greatest club in the world Jose
-
Watford, Birmingham, Nottingham Forest and Bristol City are amongst the clubs believed to be monitoring the situation.I'd expect him to be a forest player by the morning if I'm honest I believe the other club in for him are Birmingham

i agree that you need good instinct but i believe that coaches help convert instinct into skill.
