Didn't Harkins go back to Scottish football after us? Credit to Johnson he had an eye for a player.

That's fair enough, just as it should be. When we get to Wembley they can up it.

It's not rocket science. The last time Hogan was suspended, he picked McGahey, and if my memory serves me correctly, McGahey stepped in at CB at Woking. He played pretty well, I seem to recall as well.
I still maintain the belief that he's a fairly decent CB, and him being panned for his appearances in midfield is slightly harsh
I agree, a midfielder McGahey is not. I'm sure MM will play his best side taking into account the opposition. It might be a good time to try 4 3 3 as we look to have a decent hard working midfield 3 of Conlon, Lundstram and Sheron.

We're all very damaged aren't we? Not really surprising.
Yeah, it's our default setting.

It'll go Pete Tong at some point - it's Latics.
But I am struggling to think of factors that would result in us not at least making the play-offs from here. Big squad, good manager, no night at the dogs planned...what am I missing that's going to catch us out?
Well we managed to ride videogate, at some point we are going to have to stop being pessimistic, the wheel has turned its our time.

Doesn't Sutton come in for Hogan. After all he's a L1 centreback according to some.
That's logical if we are staying 3 5 2.
More than likely McGahey though.

I loved Hogan doing that but I also thought that when he did it after the first goal ,there was a bit of , 'oh you're happy when we're winning, you fuckers'
Just saying
TBF he'd be right, I'm elated when we are winning.

Tickets in the home end are on sale for this. They've blocked off the same areas behind the goal and on the side as last year so assume we'll have the same allocation - which won't be enough and will lead to exactly the same issues with away fans in the home end as last season.
How many tickets did they give us last season? With it being a Tuesday night there won't be as much demand, would have thought that some won't bother as the ground was ticked off last season.

Best performance I have seen this season. Looked like we knew what we were doing in that formation. The 3 centre backs spread wide when we had the ball and the wing backs were high from the start of any move. The midfield 3 were interchangeable. Front 2 were constantly available. Highlight for me was Sherons recovery tackle and pass leading to the penalty. That was immense. Get it wrong and it could have been one each. Good feeling coming out of the ground.
This, last night felt totally different, how many times even with a 2 goal lead have we felt nervous coming into the last 5 minutes, it never felt in doubt.

Top result, we looked like a football side tonight. They struggled to play through us which other teams have done at will this season. Conditions were terrible and so was the ref.
Lundstram looked more like the player we thought we had bought which goes to show you need somebody else to share the load in midfield. Hogan played well 2nd half, we definitely look like there is more balance to the side now.

It's beginning to feel like we are finally putting the pieces together. We need the midfield to start supplying the ammo but I'm sure Conlon is a huge part in the cog.

I've been googling tyson footballer to see if any come up who could possibly be a candidate.
Try googling footballer who has bitten somebody's ear off. That might do it.

Some Blackpool fans genuinely want Madine back.
Not all about his goals, very physical and defenders in league 1 struggled to deal with him.
Sounds like the ordinary man on the street struggled to deal with him.

Dont worry, we will end up with another dustbin (see J. Nuttall).

If we give Norwood back to Barnsley, I think I might just give up.
Can't understand why we would send him back, the best striker we have had since Surridge. Unless they are offering us a decent wedge.

Bromley draw, Aldershot and Gateshead lose. Decent set of results today.
Yeah not bad at all, Bromley still look too far ahead of us but stranger things have happened. It's weird to be feeling so positive after all that has happened, we are not playing well but the recent signings have really given me hope.

Didn't Mickey Quinn score for Pompey, I can't recall how the scoring went, my abiding memory is the Chaddy giving it to him all game. "He's fat, he's round, his arse is on the ground, Mickey Quinn, Mickey Quinn.

I don't mind Sheron he gives 100% every game, he struggles on the half turn and does give the ball away a little too much. We can do better but as a squad player I'd take him.
