Maybe that's the problem - could be they aren't being paid?!I have the fix all solution, dont pay the players until they start showing a bit of pride in what they are doing, solves our cash problems at the same time.

Such a frustrating game, which wasn't helped by the referee. ..Southend 's 'gamesmanship ' standing in front of every free kick, slowing everything down at every set piece. ..the keeper taking as much time as he liked every goal kick to which the ref would wave his arm to get on with it but the keeper wasn't even looking!
I know that the ref wasn't to blame for the performance but more and more I am getting frustrated by this side of the game. .

GoodHe's wrong ?

A dale fan at work says that the checkatrade cup counts as the extra 2....

Apparently available for Saturday! served his 9 games already.....

The only referee I have seen with the bollocks to apply the new rules regarding players holding and obstructing each other in the box is mike dean -nearly everyone else chooses to ignore it..
-
Is it just me or are all these stats that have appeared in the game - just a load of bollocks. ..from Lee Johnson's 'bomb alley ' to information like this... if managers are taking how many times the team enters the opposition half as a positive but doing nothing with the possesion and losing games. .what is the point!

Ref v port Vale is Darren England. .

Ref v Scunthorpe is the dreaded Graham Salisbury....

The 'health and safety nightmare' tea urn being wheeled around the side of the pitch by a young lad!

What I don't want is for us to end up like blackpool, Blackburn, Coventry and Charlton - where the feeling of aggression takes over everything - I personally go to football as an escape from the day to day and have enough stress and hassle at work already - I know the current 'experience ' at games isn't great but I can walk away grumbling and moaning across Clayton playing fields then maybe come on here but then stop....until the next game!
If the atmosphere turns aggressive - I am out - not taking my kids into that..

I reckon if banks is pushed further forward we would see whether he could be the key we have been looking for to unlock teams and create. ..at the moment he is sat too deep and let's face it - he's no tackler! . Let fane or green do the dirty side - oh and his set pieces are a damn sight better than what green has been delivering.Think Banks is a luxury we can't afford at the moment. Yes, does one or two sublime passes but also passed it straight to their players a few times yesterday too! He does tend to "swan around" the pitch as though he's some kind of mercurial player but is poor defensively and too soft. With him in the side, we do seem lacking in midfield in the absence of a Kelly type player.

Ref v Wimbledon is darren deadman. .

Correctyou can only beat whats in front of you and we did job done next round move on and thanks for the £19k donny

Some decent performances today - McLaughlin and dummigan linked well first half and mckay and Flynn looked dangerous on the break. I liked banks in the middle and his set piece deliveries are so much better than greens..
-
CorrectFlynn off Erwin...makes 11 methinks.

I think that our 'wide open ' midfield is the problem - game after game teams just run straight through itYour happy with reckord and burgess??? ?
-
Same back 5
Winchester on the right
McLaughlin on the left
Green holding
Banks ahead of him
Flynn off Erwin up top
4-5-1

I will be going because I always do! - the urge will be back by about Thursday!

See if leon osman fancies a kickabout he would keep the midfield ticking over. .

Probably still drunk....You must be on the wind up. Ridiculous

Agree with thatNot read this thread.
But simply put based off today we've got no one comfortable on the ball, no build up play in midfield, and we're :censored:ed until we get that sorted.
We're not doomed yet, but we will be if we don't bring in players comfortable with the ball in January.
-
I don't think that it's just green who is the problem -it's a change in approach -forget this 'playing with winger's stuff and pack and play through the middle ..It's alright though, Robinson (in his LaticsPlayer interview) reckons that Green is one of our consistent performers.
Is that consistently bad?

Listening to steve ayre on the way home and what he says about us never competing in midfield thus affecting the whole team and attacking intent (or lack of) is spot on
Southend game
