  1. Looking at the video I also thought that he didn't head the ball must - but was I impressed with the way he run at some of the defence and at 6ft 7 was it and built like he is I say what have we got to lose? - I think if anything he will scare the hell out of some defenders and make them panic even if he is put on for the last 10 - 15 minutes let's face it rest of the strikers have not been much cop.
  2. I will say one thing on the subject (and I have been quite for a bit) - I had a right go on this forum when they appointed one Lee Johnson (young, no experience - you are joking etc. etc.) and I ended up eating humble pie - so my view is Darren Kelly I guess you have the qualifications and some experience coaching at a PL Club and the Chairman (who is a good chairman in my view) would have done his due diligence - so good luck to you and welcome to BP - enjoy the ride :-))
  3. For Me I will take Basingstoke away just down the road from where I live now :-))
  4. Will he also book his son Rick as pre - match entertainment do you think :-))
  5. To be honest if he goes I think it will be late on the transfer deadline day - if you were a manager you know City want rid of him and if you thought he was worth a punt you would try it on then and put in a smaller bid to see if City were interested (to try and pick him up at a low cost to your club) - if he had not gone before - that is what I would do anyway.
  6. View from my Mate (Villa Fan - with a few connections at the club i.e. mates) on Grealish :- He’s too good for you…way too good. He was at Notts County last year and kept them up – We expect him to be either championship loan or maybe even in the first team squad this year. He said that also due to the owner selling the club and only £10m at the moment to spend on Transfers and wages it would be highly unlikely.
  7. Stats wise for a Striker that is awful - however that Mamady Sidibe looks a huge scary striker - maybe at the right price may be useful for the last 20 mins. if we are chasing a game to get among a defence and cause them some concern but as a possible starter I think we should give him a miss so says my Stoke Supporting Mate.
  8. I understand the point you are making - but also given the situation for them at one the point in time was if they lost they were relegated - guess it is a bit hard in that position with all the stress to keep the all the emotions under control - wonder if he is like that every Saturday or just this one given the situation.
  9. You Know what I say let him have a go - put him in tomorrow - let's face it he really can't do any worse than the other strikers based on current form.
  10. Two of the best players sold within 6 months? - would really like some one from the club to explain this as well as explaining the long term strategy - been in this league ages and am being to think I will be collecting my pension before we promoted again - surely the idea is to keep the best players and build a sucessful team - not sure I understand it any more?
  11. Basically not sure about this - not the player (never seen him play) but the plan seems to be signing alot of similar Midfielder player and unless he plays 3- 6-1 not really needed that's what I need some one to enlighted me on please.
  12. Not sure what to say about this - is LJ going to try a 3-6-1 formation to include all the midfielders / wingers he seems to be getting in?
  13. Have to disagree there - SPL is rubbish reckon I could score there reckon Rooney will score tonnes - Goodwillie was meant to be brill at Dundee Utd could not score in a brothel for Blackburn.
