  1. Yeah I sit in the Athleticos section but towards the back behind them all. Remember saying to my dad there seemed far less Athleticos than usual and the ground felt emptier than it has been all season (especially for a saturday). It’s been building for a while (the frustration of home games) but does feel that the Kidderminster game was the final straw for quite a few to leave it for a bit/not attend.
  2. Can they get promotion at our place or did the Dorking result cock that up?
  3. Wouldn’t mind seeing Dallas given a go from the start, especially if Bromleys defenders are cloggers. He has to be given a go at some point surely. The rumour was he was brought in on loan as a bit of a trial to potentially be bought in summer but he’s not really been given a go (which is a credit to how well Garner and Fondop have done). Someone posted a team on twitter which looked really good with Dallas behind Norwood and Garner but it was 433 and I can’t see us moving from 352 at this point.
  4. He was only signed because he’s got a long throw. He looked okay on his debut but no better than Sutton tbh (and I’m not Suttons biggest fan) but I’d be playing Sutton over him. Tbh Hogan did really well there Saturday. Bridge barely got a sniff once Hogan went to RWB. I’d be sending Sachdev back. Probably Walker too if we don’t intend to use him (I would use him, but if he’s fit and barely ever makes even the bench whats the point?). The Green injury may change the latter though.
  5. Agree he’ll only get better, He’s already good player imo. He could do with bulking up a touch as he’s shrugged off the ball a bit easily but there’s a player in him. His work rate and off the ball movement is superb. Needs to settle down a touch in the final third but it will come. Will be a massive player for us next season.
  6. Hammond created a chance for Green about 2.5 hours ago
  7. Spot on. When we win it tends to feel lucky/scrappy. When we lose it’s usually an all time bad performance and some how gets worse a week later. The first thought when a player gets the ball is to either go long aimlessly or take the easy pass back, to which the opposition then press and we end up hoofing it anyway. Rinse and repeat. Our movement off the ball is the worst I’ve ever seen from a side. We don’t press the opposition. We do a half arsed jog at them and it’s always 1 to 1, not as a collective or in packs. Unsworths football was a disgrace but I’d argue Woking, Ebbsfleet, Dorking away and todays performance are as bad as anything he served up if not worse
  8. Hammond the only one who looked like a footballer that half. Sheron an all time bad 45 minutes
  9. Predicted 1-1 in the thread earlier, it was always going to be tight. They are poor but don’t ship many at home. Thought they shaded the first half and us the 2nd. Frustrating to concede when we did though as I felt we where in control at 1-0 with a lot of the ball being played at the far end of the pitch to our fans. It wasn’t great but we’ve played much worse this season. Win Saturday and this isn’t a bad point. Kitchings performance/positioning tonight was bizarre. At times he was basically a Left Forward in a 3, then LWB/LB and on occasion crept into like a left CM. Odd. Also the ref kinda ruined the game. Blew for free kicks every 30 seconds. York players spent most of the match on the floor, as did Garner.
  10. Heart says 2-0 latics but I can see a frustrating 1-1 draw tonight
  11. Can’t wait for this one. Is it sold out? Or there abouts? If we can some what replicate the Maidenhead performance we’re laughing.
  12. Brilliant! Outstanding performance. What do I know eh moaning about the team selection earlier. Fondop with 2 but MOTM for me is Hammond. He’s been everywhere. Him and Conlon have linked up superbly.
  13. Yes it’s almost like fans shouldn’t write a player off after a 20 minute cameo (not you Guy, just in general a lot of fans panned him after he came on v Woking) Hammonds having a great game so far
  14. We have a few injuries and a bit of illness in the camp, but the lineup just highlights how absolutely shite our recruitment has been the last 12 months. Where’s Hope? That little run we had over xmas/new year when we looked slightly better he was in CM and thought he did alright. Reid if fit should be on the bench too. Saw he was out and about in Manchester on his socials last night so knew he hadn’t travelled but if fit he should be making the bench. Where’s Walker? Injured? ill? It’s bad McGahey is even making the bench still. Hope we can get a result here but feels like we’ve gone from having a massive squad a couple of week back to throwing whoever we can at it now.
  15. Yep, same here. Summarised perfectly. Since the turn of the year it’s been pretty grim and we have ‘strengthened’ during that period. I’ll be honest I’m a bit baffled by most of the Jan recruitment. Dorking away, won but we where atrocious and very lucky. Hendon at home disgrace. Barnet at home we played decent. More solid than anything, but we looked decent. Woking at home, disgrace. Ebbsfleet away, disgrace. It’s simply not good enough currently and Mellons recruitment hasn’t filled me with much confidence. The tactics the last couple of games have been disgusting to watch. The longball stay solid tactic has been intentional and isn’t working.
  16. Surely someone will take a punt on Kurt in the next week or so. He scored a shit load last season, granted a division lower. He’d be a decent signing for a bottom end NL side/NLN team. It’s just whether he would be willing to take a paycut to play regularly again as he’ll be on decent money here. As mad as it sounds I think Shelton may get a move soon too. Again he’ll be on decent money so its whether he’ll take a bit less, but could see another NL side taking a chance on him. He had decent pedigree elsewhere. The rest of the shite 2025 players I think we’re stuck with, at least until summer where we may be able to make something happen.
  17. Funny how we all see games differently. Of the defence I thought Hobson was the poorest of the 3, his passing at times was appauling. (However I do think he’s the best of the 3, usually). Hogan was absolutely immense tonight imo and just behind Conlon for MOTM, Raglan was good too. Didn’t give their 9 a sniff. Agree on Conlon re: his heading, I mentioned that on twitter. He wins so many headers for someone who doesn’t look that tall/strong. Probably good timing. Wish Conlons free kick had gone in!
  18. Hogan and Conlon where outstanding. I actually thought Barnet looked the better side first 15-20 and should have scored. However after that felt we where by far better, once we got going they where poor. What a difference Conlon made. Sachdev with a solid debut, had a great first half. Was quieter 2nd half but we where better and he was also on a yellow. We look extremely solid and lovely to see bodies on the line defending at times. There was a goal mouth scramble in the 2nd half for Barnet and our players where doing anything and everything to prevent the goal. Look forward to seeing Dallas, however I’ll be honest I’ve never been the biggest fan of Fondop but how can you drop him? I don’t think you can. He’s such a handful. You can tell he frustrates the shite out of Norwood but yet, it works.
  19. Another one being worked on as well. Kanu coming to us later in the week once we have played Barnet Dallas is a good signing. Him and Norwood is some firepower for this level. Let’s see if we can shift a couple now too….
  20. Signings are usually announced around 5-6pm aren’t they? I always thought it was due to website traffic likely being the highest then (people finishing work etc) + enough time to add follow up interviews/clips etc during the evening
  21. I think Dallas will happen. People who usually get things right have said he’s coming on loan. A couple of lower league transfer accounts that have a decent reputation are now mentioning it too. Kanu seems to just be rumours. The Podcast last week did mention we had enquired. It has to be big though surely? Dallas on loan would be a good signing, but MK rarely tweets about OAFC signings unless asked by fans on the odd occasion. This time he’s gone out of his way to hype up a signing for tomorrow essentially. I think Dallas is happening, Kanu believe it when I see it!
  22. Strong rumours of 2 coming in tomorrow on Twitter. Dallas and Kanu would be insane.
