  1. How many times can we afford to say Rachubka will be disappointed by conceding a goal after a defeat?

He's not good enough, and the disappointment of Kenny's brief visit doesn't and shouldn't hide that fact.

Off the top of my head Rabs kept goal in a 10 match unbeaten run at the back end of last season and a 12 game unbeaten run this, he cant be held responsible for our recent dip in form as he has been sat on the bench for most of it, if you want to see what a bad job he has been doing look at the stats, he has the second best record goals/games in the league behind Roy Carroll, so he must be doing some things right Id say ? Who do you honestly think we could get in with limited finances who would be any better ? At a club without a pot to piss in wage wise we are lucky to have such a solid pro in my opinion.

  2. A decent keeper and we'd have got away with an unlucky draw. Instead we were beaten despite having the best of the play. I think that last goal showed the weakness of Paul R. He is the least athletic keeper I have seen in a long time. No pace to get back and no spring to even get near it. Have another look, even when he knows he needs to get back he can't even get close to a sprint. Not suggesting the fat lump Paddy would have done any better.

Biggest difference in real terms, they had a talented striker (we didn't).

Im sure the keeper will be disappointed but in his defence he had pushed our backline up to the halfway line and was playing as more of a sweeper than a keeper, Ajose is quick and also very clever and at our level not many forwards would of had the vision never mind the ability to do that, it was a great goal the keeper was caught flat footed with little chance of getting back and although im sure Rabs will be a little gutted I wouldnt blame him for the defeat.

  5. Not a choice between him and Danny.

Johnson is great when we are on the front foot,Danny digs in more.

Hence at Mk Dons with DJ the floodgates opened, but he has more potential to open the floodgates on the opposition.

Sorry couldnt disagree more Danny offers very little defensively, he very rarely commits to or wins an header and his work rate is poor, he has a nice touch and chips in with the odd goal but imo he isnt anywhere near as good as Johnson, both are luxury players that when the chips are down will be found wanting especially when Kelly and Jones are not playing behind them to mop up the pieces.

  6. From a balance point of view Johnson replacing Winchester wasn't necessarily the best call.

I think Philliskirk's a decent player. But I also think Daniel Johnson is a better player who could do a job in the same role.

Agree 100% got to play one and for me Philly should of been on the bench yesterday.

  7. There is no denying the dynamic has changed in the squad and coaching team, of course it could just be coincidence we lost Murray around the same time the team went into freefall, who knows what effect he had without knowing all parties involved, one thing you cant deny is the tinkering thats happened since Holden came in, he must have the managers ear and some of the decisions in selection and tactics have been baffling in recent weeks, could be a case at the moment of too many cooks.

  8. Whys everyone obsessed with us holding it up it works okay away from home but is there a need at home, we currently have a squad of 20-odd where we cant even field a pair of strikers and a manager who seems reluctant to play any other way up front, Ibehre has had a couple of good games away from home but he isnt going to win us many, swap him for Ajose yesterday and we run out more than comfortable winners. I actually had a good chat with Ajose a couple of months ago at BP as he is good friends with Mike Jones, he said to me he would love to come to Oldham on loan as he thought he was the type of player we had been missing, after yesterday I tend to agree.

  9. For me the most disappointing aspect was our reluctance to commit men forward even against 10 men we tended to fanny around with it taking an age to make any meaningful passes, I also dont get the logic of taking off our best 2 finishers when we need goals, chances were dropping to players Id have preferred Philly or Forte taking them to Brian Wilson and Elokobi.

  10. Million times better than MK last week, the break after Monday probably cant come soon enough for LJ, some serious issues need resolving from the coaching staff down just hope the problems we have can be fixed, will miss my first game in a long time on Monday but if they can play with the same intensity and desire they did today they may be able to pinch something, one final point what has gone on in James Wilsons head, he isnt a fraction of the player he was upto and including the Bristol game, is he having his head turned by other clubs or his agent ? I noticed he lost the captaincy today but his form is shocking.
