  1. Our budget may be dependent on the Canadian world cup squad announcement
  2. To me this money from the prem added to the EFL money, any tv monies, sponsorship etc kept us going in covid. Plus the EFL loan. I don't buy any idea that the owners put more than a few quid in once we went down to league two. I can fully imagine we were close to death given the drop in income. No way those helmets were going to shell out
  3. One month of not playing that thing from Bradford and Cooper can only be a good thing. Hopefully he starts Saturday.
  4. Clarke doesn't want to be here, seems Brown does. Brown was all effort, not much ability. 2 divisions down i expect he'll look a better player. As Unsworth said any player who wants to go can just go. I don't mind Clarke, he can play but his hearts not been in it this season.
  5. You're only a scab if you crossed a protest / picket line. Are you a bit behind the ball flower?
  6. You think we won't get it when others will? It's in black and white on their website.
  7. https://www.fifa.com/tournaments/mens/worldcup/qatar2022/media-releases/fifa-distributes-more-than-usd-200m-to-clubs-across-the-world It's literally on their website. "For the first time, clubs will be able to apply digitally through the FIFA Professional Football Landscape platform with approximately USD 10,000 to be received for each one of the days the relevant player remains with his national team during the FIFA World Cup 2022™" He's our best ever transfer
  8. https://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/fifa-pay-clubs-nearly-190m-for-players-involved-in-2022-world-cup/blt113b74886e9f8610 Kiss my tits gobshite
  9. I think we get £10k a day don't we? Worth playing him on Sunday.
  10. He's not ideal and you'd like a new one in but assuming we can't he might be worth a go. I liked his attitude at right back though. Got a few tackles in and seemed to like that side of it. That's an improvement on our current centre mids. No bite or skill from Cooper at all. He's useless.
  11. Could Sheron be used as the enforcement in midfield? Looks to love a tackle and was announced as a defensive midfielder. Can't be worse than Cooper who does neither end of the pitch well.
  12. With interest rates being so high can't blame the powers that be keeping all the ticket money in their accounts rather than provide some decent talent for their manager. Help pay for the stadium I suppose. Perhaps we'll pick up another Barrow cast off later in the year if we strike lucky in the FA cup.
  13. I don't think that's correct as prem sides often sell players abroad outside of windows. Didn't Stockport sign Boltons captain last year late on?
  14. Any chance Royle & Royle will be able to prize some money from Franks tight grip now we have some TV money coming? I expected some moves in once the lad at Scunny turned us down.
  15. Have the "we've no money" lads issued a written formal apology yet?
  16. I think their connection may be deeper than that, about 7inches deeper.
  17. Certainly watched 99% of them. He was possibly the most improved in the 'run' when shez came. Happy for people to criticise many things he does but he's a decent cross on him. Worth thinking about who would be in the box, or not, when he was putting the ball in last season. Fondop and even Porter will be far better at getting on any half decent delivery. Last season it was DKD and Bahambula for most of the season, both slightly lacking in aerial ability and centre forward know how.
  18. Best crosser of the ball in the squad last season, not much competition. If we bother playing with a striker he may provide a fair chances.
  19. Is Porter a proven striker? You'd have to go back a while to count 10 league goals. If Fondop and Junior are there at the beginning of the season i doubt porter starts. On Windass, his dads a very well known ex footballer, his brother a talented footballer in his own right. If at this stage he's only ever reached part time despite the obvious advantages he's got he must be garbage. More Stella than stellar.
  20. Also the idea that the conference is so very tough. I'm sure Hunt came with massive rave reviews and we could all see how shite he was......
  21. I'd be ok with Shez. He'll know the script with Mo, he can set ground rules from the off. Of the players on contract he will know all about them. The news the budget remains the same despite guaranteed major losses in income just shows how little they have spent. We will still be a big draw and for the majority of club in the conference if our wage offer is the same as most clubs the player will pick us. New owners is a dream but if that comes off for me we have to go and get Wildy back.
  22. That makes no sense. Wasting ink and electricity.
  23. The usual practice is they get a reduced wage whilst in admin, particularly mid season.
