In the region of £20k I think.
Ye think 20k was the figure banded about
-
If he goes for 35k then that's a :censored:ing disgrace
-
2.5k is a bit optimistic
I'd say that was about right I think we're down to people same as me who would even come if we were in conference north. People at me of I'd bother and as much as I'd like to say no I couldn't stop coming. Even though at moment this is 1st season in the 26 years I've been coming I don't look forward to it
-
This is half the problem, people keep harking back to last year and judging everything from that.
Until that stops we can't move forward again.
You're so far up Dunn's arse it's unreal
-
Attracting applicants is never a problem.
Giving them something to work with is.
Dunn has plenty to work with and is failing
-
It took Johnson two seasons to turn us (briefly) into a decent side.
So you're saying he didn't have a hand in improving us immediately when he took over. Please tell me what it is you see in Dunn that I'm managing to miss? Do you genuinely think he will keep us up?
-
Is anybody else getting bored by the constant Dunn bashing, the same twenty or so posters have said the same about Kelly, Holden, Johnson and Dickov. It's really tedious from people who probably think they reflect 3000 Latics fans. Not a happy clapper but come on, this team needs more support than any team in our recent history, we are more likely to go down than any previous squad in the last 20 years but can still make it with a bit of backing and positivity. Great to hear the team getting clapped off at the weekend. Let's stick with it as we always do.
I haven't slated Johnson or Dickov they both git my full support, and I said Kelly needed more time. Dunn, in my humble opinion, is a massive :censored:ing clueless idiot and should be sacked
-
Dunn won't get sacked. We can't afford it. As much as I'd like to drag him out of there myself I'm afraid we're stuck with him
-
Maybe he feels he contributed badly towards their 2nd goal (as did many others) and that when bearing down on goal in the first half, he inexplicably chose to pass the ball and :censored: it all up rather than just shoot for goal.
He got no help from anyone with that ball for 2nd. Looking back he probably should have put out of play. He passed because it wasn't a good angle and it was a perfect pass that Philliskirk should have hit first time but took an awful touch. Nothing wrong with him passing to someone in a better position
-
No idea to be honest... I presumed they where :censored:ed as off the field as on the field ?
Allegedly the Oystons moved tens of millions out of the club to their own businesses. Allegedly. So I read Allegedly I believe. Lol
-
Dunn says it will take a couple of transfer windows to get sorted.
His way of saying I have nobody lined up. Need more time. Blah blah
-
Their are 2 common misconceptions about formations
Firstly that 4-4-2 doesn't work in the modern game.
Secondly that 4-2-3-1 is to complicated for league 1 players to play.
Both are false assumptions.
Agreed. If a bunch of pissheads in my Sunday league team can manage more complicated than 442 I'm sure players who do it as their full time job can get their heads round it
-
If Rasulo plays so far advanced that he's effectively a support striker to Murphy, then that would be my team.
Coleman all day for me
-
Nice to see people now coming round to about 3 people's observation that he will be a good player
-
He did the hard bit by winning the ball back 30 yards from the line he then needed to lay it off to someone to knock it down the line and we could get upto half way. He kept going backwards lost the ball he let the player turn inside, but he's not a defender someone needed to help him out there. Wilson and Winchester could have helped him out if that was bad enough Williams then was left in 5 yards of space at the far post to miss cue an absolute pea roller into the net I'd be embarrassed to concede a goal like that at 6 a side on Sunday.[/quot
Exactly we win the ball just inside our half. Nobody comes to take ball off Murphy...murphy loses ball at corner flag after 3 or 4 seconds of jockeying...the man then has 20 yard free unchallenged run along the by line...he chips it to far post towards unmarked man...by this time a good 15 seconds had elapsed to get back into shape, mark men support Murphy......clearly the keeper's fault
Its the keepers fault for the one part he had to play in it which was failing to judge a chipped cross in his 6 yard box
-
I could be wrong but I think the worldy he's referring to is actually the save Cornell made point blank in second half - not Doncasters goal
Where the ball was floated over his 6 yard box. Another he should have claimed easily
-
I thought that too, outside of the boot?
Great finish but how is he allowed to control the ball under no pressure and turn like that?
-
Cornell showing his abilities for coming for crosses again and jumping under a ball
-
Today I'd go for:
Cornell
B Wilson
Dieng
J Wilson
Eckersley
Philliskirk
Kelly
Jones
Yeates
Cassidy
Murphy
I'd put poleon on wing and Coleman in goal bur agree with rest. But probably be cassidy up top on his own
-
It is a shame that Philli is the only one.
Everyone else has either forgotten how to show it or has completely given up.
See if rhys starts today
-
The main thing that worries me is that if they're happy to let a player go who dunn rates as being first name on team sheet for 75k, what will we sell players like kelly for? 25k?

Maybe he's told to stay in that position
