If you're being pendantic, there are an infinite number of numbers between 9 and 11.
Not that are factor of 3 there aren't ?

Anything between 9-11 points without losing would be a decent return. We've not sustained that sort of accumulation in seasons.
The only thing between 9-11 is 10 and you can't get 10 without losing.....just saying

Can you not eke out a 3-2 win then?
Not in my personal opinion no.....for me eking out is making the most of scant resources....
.our number of players is hardly scant , our attacking options are hardly scant....our defensive resources more problematic but eking out scant defensive resources would involve some strategy to get the better out of them than conceding more than 2 a game
it is only semantics but eking out results for me is more reflective of the 1-0s and the 0-0s of Feb and March this year than the roller coaster of this October and November

Are we judging Wellens on just three games now? Even so compare that to the last few previous managers snapshots of 0-0 0-1 0-1 I'd take it.
Coincidentally within your nice little snapshot of handpicked fixtures we had two wins 2-1 and 4-1 so it's certainly not as bad as the picture your trying to paint.
Wellens has been in charge for ten games now and he has 6 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats, scoring 22 in the process.
I'd take that and I'd hate to think we will lose some entertainment value by effectively stopping the free flowing bold approach that has served us so well.
Exactly .....you are making my point for me.....10 games involving over 40 goals is not what I understand by eking out results

We eked out a fair few results without resorting to going back to basics, why the need to change something that provided some solid results?
4-4 2-3 2-3 ....our last 3 Saturday results ? .....I must not understand eking out?

Do its doors drop off and steam come out of the engine when he sounds the horn

He also got a very similar penalty award

Who do we play if Chesterfield beat City 2-1

If we draw but lose on pens are we out?

I suggest that we bring back Robinson as Manager and Kelly as his Assistant Manager At least we didn't concede as many goals with them.
Yes because 4-4 and 2-3 get you more points than 0-0 and 0-1? ....yes I would rather watch the former
ps the world fell I when we lost 3-2 in first round last year I recall .....

He played today having lost his mother - try having some respect he’s shown character most wouldn’t.
abd before you come back - compassionate leave for an immediate family is 2 weeks he’s come back early
look back at some of his saves... he’s saved more than conceded and got 2 assists
No one in the world would undersetimate the death of a mum....I have been there...but this is professional sport and if you aren't ready to play you don't.and your employer had a duty of care about asking you!.
land gettind away from Placide what is this bollocks about getting 2 weeks compassionate leave?
-
Placide has now conceded 8 in his last 3 games.....how many of the 8 do people think he could have done better with...at least 3 in my view
-
10 goals conceded in the last 3 Saturdays.....he now has to show his qualities or not by addressing that

Why do we have to finish 17th?
If you're 17th in league 1 the style of football wont matter we will be going nowhere and the fans will just eventually get pissed off at the lack of progress.
Besides if we keep this team together then finishing 17th is a dissapointment they should be aiming for top half minimum. Plus some kind of run in the FA cup.
Why do we have to finish 17th.....a good question for Halloween because we spookily always do..

Give me a season of grinding out results challenging for the top 6 and getting in the play offs over a season of entertaining football where we win 4-3 1 week and lose 3-2 the next and finish in mid table.
Now I know being and expansive entertaining team and a winning team are not mutually excusive options but when I buy an Oldham Athletic season ticket I do so with the expectation that they try and win as many games as possible given the ability and resources. We dont sing COME ON FOOTBALL we sing COME ON OLDHAM. So with regards to entertaining well great but aslong as we are winning.
Yes but if we are going to finish 17th let it be 4-3 2-3 and 3-3 not 1-0 0-1 and 0-0?

Come on ..it's obvious ..the cash cow that is Micah Richards

Since Wellens
played: 7
for: 15
against: 12
points: 14
what's the problem? ?
loving it.
What's the problem? You can't go for a pee or a pie in case you miss something

The attacking potency of our team is crying out to play a 3 at the back to avoid the current outnumbering in midfield....unfortunately we are a centre back short of being able to do that. Wilson or Gerrard with Clarke and Bryan is too slow as a 3

Looked off to me from 80yds away....noted that ref took a long hard look towards lino before giving it.Waiting to see highlights before forming final judgement.
It's irrelevant as is whether they should have a penalty.....the goal was given , the penalty wasn't.....that's how the game is. We fans discussing ubtil Tuesday alters nothing

Actually I meant later in the move. The ball comes in from Morris, their forward gets a touch on it and then it goes through to Holmes who puts it in... and who I thought at the time was offside - highlights aren't exactly conclusive though unfortunately!
Yes they are....they showed that Scunthope scored a third goal

When the ball is out of play the goalkeeper wastes time by delaying the re start. That ca n be punished with a caution and the addition of time
However when the keeper catches the ball and falls to the ground the ball is still in play.....how quickly the goal keeper has to get up is a moot point but there is a law of the game ( rarely used) which says he can be penalised with an indirect free kick for holding the ball for longer than 6 seconds
when the keeper stops the ball with any part of his body except his hands and then just stands there he is doing nothing wrong whatsoever.
We we were booing all 3 last night
