I felt Matt's clearly well written and thought out views didn't warrant a response from me in a thread about the FA Cup draw. FFS Mikey it's got absolutely fuck all to do with what I think or believe!! It's to do with what Mullin thinks. I think that's partially correct but would change it to as below:- The act of bringing to public attention those who do not display a sufficient level of expected support to something that you think is the right moral viewpoint and that by publicly displaying this it shows to the public what a good, righteous person you think you are. The above describes what Mullin was doing by putting the slogan on his boots. I've used the word 'you' above to make a point but of course it doesn't actually mean you Matt. Ian MM PS just my opinion.

Virtue signalling is generally accepted as making a declaration in a social or political context and as far as I'm aware wearing a poppy doesn't have any political connotations attached to it.
