  1. In the Premier League, 5 points was the top score by DavidCollinge (up 5 places):chubb:, JoeP and lookersstandandy, the latter being just -1 away from attendance; great effort :applause1:. Ex_pat stays top, astottie and nzlatic drop 4 places and the bottom three stay as they were.

Benja remains in 1st place in the Championship, hotly pursued by HarryBosch, who moves up 5 places into 2nd spot with the highest score of 9 points :OASISscarf:. GlossopLatic was only 9 away from the attendance :applause1:. There wasn't much change anywhere else, but AK's11 is starting to be cut adrift at the bottom.

In the League 1 table, maddog is still leading the pack :first:. There's no change to the top four or bottom seven as dannyboy55555 and Nohairdontcare top scored with 4 points apiece. There were no predictions from Lee Sinnott, Macca and oafcprozac, whilst south east latic edited too late (14:51) for it to count :sign0007:

Bradford City FC (First Team) v Oldham Athletic FC (First Team)
    EFL Trophy
    Referee: Stockbridge, Sebastian
    Assistant Referee: Parry, Matthew
    Assistant Referee: Plowright, David
    Fourth Official: Haines, Andy

Thank God Andy Haines is only 4th official. The thought of him refereeing produces apoplexy.

    Stockbridge, however ... <shudders>

Own goal will not count as first scorer. If Latics' first goal is an og, the next goal (if there is one) will count if scored by a Latics player.

At Mansfield we were  searched with metal detectors and the police and officials were really strict and had a sniffer dog as well!. Seemed a bit OTT

First time I've been sniffed for a while!!!!!

We were wiped down with detectors at Swindon as well. There was no sniffing, though.

Remember when we played Adam Rooney as a winger and let him join Aberdeen for fuck all because he couldn't score for toffee out of position, cut and paste and the same is happening again, never ever is Callum Lang a winger and a left one at that, absolute waste out there and every team in the division now knows he will be cutting in onto his favoured foot because he can't kick with his left for toffee, he's a striker and should either play upfront or not at all because he's a liability out wide.

And yet Lang himself has said he's used to playing out wide as well as central. Yes, he'll always cut inside on to his favoured foot, but so does Ashley Young and Eden Hazard as did Chris Waddle. Different class of player I know, but the concept is the same.

Lang showed a couple of times at Swindon that he can make a mug of a full back, but lacked the final ball. Get that right and he will be a decent all rounder.

  6. In the Premier League, singe racked up the highest score of 11 points and, whilst it doesn’t get him off the bottom of the table, it gets him a lot closer to the others. nzlatic picked up 8 points, thanks mainly to being only 8 off the attendance. JoeP was the highest climber, up 5, and rosa drops 4 places into the relegation zone.

Eleven points was the top score in the Championship as well, scored by Oafc1895, putting him closer to the top two, who stay where they are. Stevie_J posted too late for it to count (some rubbish about husbandly duties getting in the way), whilst AK’s11 and daniel didn’t post at all. The bottom five don’t move.

Some fairly low scoring in League 1, 7 being the best by south east latic, Latics and England and Dave_Og, the latter cutting maddog’s lead at the top to a single point. Monty Burns posted too late and missed the cut off by two minutes. Kusunga_Is_God, Lee Sinnott and oafcprozac failed to post a prediction. It’s as you were with the bottom seven.

If you have 2 big immobile units uptop like Miller and O'grady then you are pretty much telling the opposition back 4 to play 10 yards further up the pitch as you know they wont run in behind you and cause any damage.

The only option off the bench is Benteke. I think Lang is too lightweight to play down the middle and he has said in interviews he is used to playing out wide, left and right. I'd have expected Nepomuceno to be used though.
