  1. Its looking likely that we will have a new manager next year. The rumours are that the playing budget is not going to be the same as this season, so realistically who can we get??? Have we blown the best chance under TTA???? I fear whoever we bring in will not meet the expectations of the muppets parade who seem to think we have the right to win every game and sign the best players on crowds under 6000??? TTA are superb, but where do you draw the line with the finance? :ranting:

    KEEPING THE FAITH!!!!!

  2. I'd have him in our squad next season for definite. He's something different to what we have; he can hold the ball up & actually compete with big CB's in a tussle.

if anyone has seen the County / Crewe goals then I don't know how they can say COG is crap. Good finish from a tight spot for his goal, & the hold up play & skill and power he showed in setting up the winner is exactly what we have been missing up top for 2/3 months now.

BUT, unfortunately for COG i think when he does come back & plays; he has every chance of becoming the new whipping boy for our classy; knowledgeable & not at all fickle fans. What; a striker who doesn't score 30 goals a season; not in my team i thank you.

    Our 'fans' are a Joke!

Bang on mate, O'grady (and Davie) were treated like :censored:e by that clown who was in charge. Shez gave the critics the ammo for O'grady (playing him as a lone striker at Burnley). He has never had a bad game in a Latics shirt. His performance at Tranmere and Colchester away were excellent and a great game at home V Brighton. Dont see the issue, our problem all season is holding the ball upfront. Lewis and Deano are no better or worse IMO, but the lad has been shafted. Isnt if funny that everyone who hates Ogrady has a County mate who hates him too. I have 3 mates who go home and away with county and they said he Holds the ball up well, but is never going to score you 20 goals. Davies and O'grady would have been massive assets for when we lost Hughes, but Shez "the messiah" bolllooxed that.

  3. In tonight's rarely wrong Chron Joe talks about tough decisions for the board and himself ("The chairman has a manager who has drawn four and lost four, and if I were him, I would not be happy with me").

He praises Taylor ("has running power, pace and goal threat") , Eadrley ("has to learn to defend better") and Wolfy ("has the movement and intelligence to be a power in League One once he regains match sharpness").

    http://www.oldham-chronicle.co.uk/news-fea...over-his-future

Agree with that all, but Wolfy - come on WTF

  4. Sounds like a big-headed little tosser to me, if he doesn't want to be here he knows where the door is. Simples!

You have saved me so much typing mate - Thank u!

I am not knocking the ability of the pair, but you cant develop heart and aggression!!! Something the pair dont have.

It was like having the Cowarly Lion and The Scarecrow up top on Saturday - I want to know which one was the tin man lol

    KEEPING THE FAITH

  5. Realistically they won't charge you for the little one, if you do get a jobsworth on the gate it will be £3, I just used to lift my son over the turnstile until he was 3 - I think it's an unwritten rule that the club do not charge for pre-school kids. The RRE turnstiles are the full-height ones so probably best to ask the stewards to open the gate.

Never been charged for my little un. Dont pay a bean mate. If someone does ask for any money, just go to another turnstile

  6. Blackpool played sh*te and deserved nothing. To say Hughsie was one of the better players says something about the abject standard of play by home side for what was a 'must win' game against a side below them. He was subbed late by Big Ben Burgess who failed to shine in his first game after a long injury. Once BBB is fully fit, he - a target man who does a lot of flick ons and wins headers in the box - and Hughsie combi may work.

Not really that bothered, lets move on !!!!

  7. i have just read the gazette and it says they are still trying to seal a loan deal for a forward before 5pm but mentions no names.

    I HATE THE LASHERS!

Think Hughes has been poor for a feew months. He has shown the club no respect with the contract and all the donny stuff?? His agent has been trying to stir stuff. 18 goals!!! is good but feel he could have had many more. Cant say Im dissappointed

  8. Exactly, the tone of a text. The commentry on LW at Cheltenham suggested that he was carrying a knock which is why I believe he's been left out of the squad.

As for next season, I reckon the contract offer of a few months ago still stands, but can see him heading for a newly promoted Championship team next season and not us. Definitely good enough for that level still - he's got just short of 20 goals for us, and many of those he's made himself. I think the likes of Lewi and Smalley will be featuring more often, and if Joe's still in charge we'll have a big towering lump amongst them too.

Wouldnt be too sure about that contract lol

  9. Makes you laugh really. Shez is his wisdom let Ogrady leave, yot he was the only real striker at the club who could hold the ball. I know many dont rate him, but at Colchester/Bin dippers away and Brighton at home (his only real games) he did that very very well. Now we looking for someone..... Bizarre

  10. He's not at his best.

I think he's lost pace this season.

    Too many fags.

The main problem he has is lack of a strike partnership to feed him.

Think the 18 flatter him TBH when you compare him to Hooper, Beckford, Fryatt etc. Without looking..... 3 against Cheltenham at home, 2 Hereford at home. thats 5? Not having a go, but its clear he actually believes he is better than he is. He wants away but my guess it there wont be many takers better than us?????????

  11. Is he wrong?

Moore could talk about playing in a three sided ground and people would still say he was wrong.

    Let it go ffs

Both Shez and Ronnie had 3/2 years and delivered nothing but energetic starts and whimpering finishes. Hats off to TTA for doing something about it. Didnt ronnie say he had a 2 year plan at both Latics and Tranmere???? he is still in League 1 I see!! He really is a bell end

  12. Just watching back a few of my old vids, it's uncanny for such a good footballing side under JR - how many goals we scored from corners and free-kicks. I hipe this is one thing we have worked on this week because during Shez's 3 seasons we have been positively :censored:e at them. With the Trannies main threat cominbg from Kay I hope we work on defending them too. Can't wait!

If joe is looking on OWTB, which I doubt

    * Get the lazy bas*ards moving at throw ins

    * Ditch that short corner routeen - it doesnt work!!!!!!!

    KTF

  13. The back page of the MEN tonight says that John Wardle (the Ex Man City chairman - who is also worth a bob or too) has started talks re: investing money into the Latics, as a direct result fo the Royle appointment. :D

    http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/spo...yles_revolution

Read it for yourself, but this would certainly help TTA's commitment to be longer term, dependant of course as to whether they can do a deal!

Hope they can, they deserve to get a bit of finiancial help at the moment! :)

    I understand it all b******s

  14. The turning point of our season was going from 5 points clear at the top of the league at half-time at Victoria Park, to scraping a draw after losing all shape and discipline despite cruising in at HT 2-0 up! As good as DJ is we didn't really need him, we had gone top playing a mixture of good football and demonstrating steely resolve. From then for the me the writing was on the wall, the week after a poor Huddersfield side outplayed, out-thought and out-fought us at BP where we were fortunate to gain a point. The treatment of Davies was shoddy, has been that of C O'G and the mystifying continual signings of average journeymen from the Championship to attempt to paper over the cracks at the expense of our one true striking partnership. Too many draws and a reluctance nay inability to change things to try and win games has come home to roost. Privately, imo he should have gone after the debacle at Hereford - publicly I was resigned to seeing him limp on until May.

THAT'S WHY YOU WERE SACKED SHEZ!

The pig-ignorance he showed in tactical ability is there until the bitter end, Until you admit your failings you will never be able to improve, Thanks for the memories John, on and off the pitch. A legend worthy of the name but please stop kidding yourself.

    Spot on mucker

  15. A City fan at work has just taken great delight in telling us all about our players trip to the dogs.

Apparently security was called three times. The first time for general disorderly behaviour, the second after Gregan slapped Windass (now I would love that to be true) and last but not least, for Hughes refusing to let Shez out of a headlock.

I dont have a issue with the lads for having the crack, but its clearly affecting the performance on the pitch

    Shez........ Get your coat

  16. i thought gregan was by far our best player yesterday worked his bollocks off all game,in fact i think hes been our most consistant player all season, think people are wrong to point the finger at him.

I thought he was offering the bloke out pointing to the car park!
