edhunteruk Posted April 28, 2008 Share Posted April 28, 2008 according to the bbc site keigan parker is quitting the lashers at the end of the season.....with nottingham forest supposedly the favs to sign him...... would love to see a play like him at bp,someone who aint affraid to run at defences at speed and knows where the net is. He has dropped down the pecking order after the early season form of Morrell, Burgess, and latterly McPhee and Dickov. He's been wanting to leave for some time, even almost going to Barnsley in January for £150k, but couldn't agree personal terms. Parker wanted more than what Barnsley was prepared to offer a striker unproven at Championship level. Since then he has made a couple of appearances off the bench. He still trains with the first team, and AFAIK there hasn't been a major fallout. Like Vernon - shipped out to Colchester, he just wasn't getting a game.
