beag_teeets Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 It seems the RRE is the new destination for a considerable number of Latics fans - it has taken 70% more bookings than the Detect All Chaddy Road End so far. So, there are 100 seats sold in the Chaddy and 170 in the RRE. Quote
NIKI1234 Posted May 9, 2008 Author Posted May 9, 2008 What is interesting in the article is that we are slightly up in terms of season tickets sold on the same time last year......... At this point last year we were in the playoffs and fans were hoping for championship football so to have sold more already is maybe a good sign Quote

Fyldelatic Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Didn't they only start selling STs after the playoff games? I bought mine on 29th May, and I usually get it early (playoff at Blackpool was 19 May), so yes, they started selling after we knew our destination Quote

Figures also indicate a 100% drop in STs for the NSM stand compared to this time last year. Quote
UpTheLatics Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 It doesn't surprise me. I think everyone expected everyone to rush there. Quote
leeslover Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 They'll need lots of mobile beer sellers to cope with this lot Quote
martjs Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 http://www.oldhamathletic.premiumtv.co.uk/...1309151,00.html Let the propaganda campaign begin. Sounds to me like the first shot has been fired in the latest "RRE v. Chaddy as our home end" battle. This reminds me of how "we" voted to have the 1994 semi final at Wembley instead of Maine Road... leeslover Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Let the propaganda campaign begin. Sounds to me like the first shot has been fired in the latest "RRE v. Chaddy as our home end" battle. Nah, if that never got off the ground with the current set up it's not going to happen when the RRE is 22 years old and there is a gleaming new Chaddy End with beer and proper catering! Quote
garcon Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Indeed. This is just part of the plan to ease the pain of losing the Chaddy altogether for a season or two while the new Chaddy is built. Quote
BigfinLatic Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Indeed. This is just part of the plan to ease the pain of losing the Chaddy altogether for a season or two while the new Chaddy is built. To be honest.. when the new super-duper main stand is built.. is there actually still going to be anyone anywhere else in the ground?? Unless we are in the premiership by then of course! Sure when everyone's waving their pints and sitting on comfy seats with three miles of legroom, singing with perfect accoustics even the most die-hard chaddy ender will move out... until new super chaddy is built (and that isnt wayne on steroids..) ... oh sorry, except anyone who isnt able to drink... that'll be CEWE then... martjs Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 ... oh sorry, except anyone who isnt able to drink... that'll be CEWE then... Lol. And how will CEWE be able to handle the KTF flag on their own? Quote
BigfinLatic Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Lol. And how will CEWE be able to handle the KTF flag on their own? Sure their Mums can give em a hand... Sorry, I love CEWE really.. hope they keep the chaddy alive... Quote
Diego_Sideburns Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 To be honest.. when the new super-duper main stand is built.. is there actually still going to be anyone anywhere else in the ground?? The point is that we need to hear noise coming from all over BP, not just one stand. Live and let live, encourage fans to sing in each stand, rather than joining in the one-upmanship of those with a grievance against the Chaddy End singers/moaners. Who knows, to get an atmosphere elsewhere in BP when the new super-duper main stand is built, perhaps admission to the Chaddy will only cost say £5. Quote
