Actually it was a good crowd for Colchester. Last seasons average was under 3000.

THat crowd makes you wonder about our stadium. As we are building it bit by bit I don't think it will be a catalyst for much bigger crowds.

PS not that I am criticusing, just that I have seen more than one post that when we get our new stadium the crowds will automatically increase.

Quite. Look at the example of Darlington (3500 in a 25000 stadium). Only success on the pitch coupled with a new ground leads to increased attendance, such as Hull, Doncaster, Swansea.

Lot of Poor crowds on Saturday,Perhaps people skint just getting back off their holidays or perhaps the shape of things to come in these uncertain times?
