It's not for Latics or football league though The format is like this with 8 & 9 the key columns Day Date Time Comp Mat Opposition Result FA Ven Att Report 3 Mon 21 Jul 03:00 BST League 1 Jambos FC 1-1 (D) FT A 10,300 4 Tue 22 Jul 03:00 BST League 2 Black Cats AFC 1-1 (D) FT H 9,050 6 Thu 24 Jul 03:00 BST League 3 Antwerp 2-1 (L) FT A 10,300 Cheers
Matt
Looking up? If you've got all the data in a spreadsheet, and you want to view just the away games or the home games - I'd use Autofilter. Filter out the column with either the H or the A in as required. Is that what you mean?
Daboke
This is where the different tabs come in.... You need one for home, one for away and a final table In the home tab youd put all the scores eg. A B C D E Oldham 4 0 MK IF B>C = 1 SUME1:E100 Then lookup this value on the final table field.... I can't go into detail.. got work to do lol

Matt
Wouldn't there have to be a tab for each team? Maybe Access is better suited to this rather than interrogating an Excel spreadsheet.
leeslover
If I understand correctly, you just want to split the data into home games and away games, and from there you will do whatever you are doing with it? Then, I would go to another Worksheet and do something like =if(lookup(left(cell with team names,6)=”Oldham”),Cell with data you want) to get home games, and on another sheet do the same but with <> instead of = to get away ones. But I have a hangover of epic proportions so this might not work. It would actually be a piece of piss to just sort it manually and record it as a macro. singe
Hi All Just to explain that all the results are in a big list like they would appear on th LAtics website as a list, so its the vlookup to find the team, but in one column get the home result, in the other the away. It would be used for other teams too, hence the desire to avoid anything manual 9ie Filters etc, just copy and paste the formula Cheers Edited September 15, 2008 by singe
