LCFC has announced season ticket prices for 2009/2010, the club's 125th anniversary. Irrespective of which Division the club is in, there are to be no increases for ST holders. Direct debit facility available, to spread the payments up to twelve months, is a good idea.

I thought there was a ruling clubs couldn't charge more for away supporters?

Regulation 31.2.11 allows the home club to designate a 'local promotion' for four matches per season. For these matches the home supporters can get the preferential treatment over prices. The Leicester Mercury's token scheme is classed as a 'local promotion' - the newspaper is subsidising the cheap tickets.

A reduction of only £2 to £21 for pensioners is derisory! Although I suppose I should expect it after enduring all the cotemptuous mocking and heckling on here.

To rub salt into our wounds, the Leicester Mercury offer has been extended to 3:00pm on Saturday.

Now far be it from me to suggest that any of our supporters should go into the home sections of the Walkers, because that would be asking for trouble and doing damage to OAFC's good name. However, I would not be surprised if some did. They would only need to go to the Leicester Mercury office, buy the newspaper from two different days, fill in the application form (local address via a bit of Googling), tear out the two tokens and take to the Ticket Office. They could then utilise the rest of the afternoon spending those £15 per ticket savings on food and drink. I wouldn't do it because I want to get behind the lads, and have to accept that it's going to cost me money to do so, but not everyone sees it like that.

This is what is likely to happen with such a massive difference in ticket price beteween home supporters and loyal visiting supporters.:mad:
