Tommy_Fent
it started from a conversation on how other teams Latics have had over the years are better in some areas of the pitch but have fallen short in the other. So if you take a position/area on the pitch from different seasons how good a team you would make? Bearing in mind each player from the postition/area you choose should of played together. For example: The defence during 02/03 Season GK: Pogliacomi LB: Chris Armstrong CB Clint Hill CB: David Beharall RB: Fitz Hall The centre midfield from 01/02 Season CM: Lee Duxbury CM: Paul Murray The attack from 04/05 season LW: David Eyres CF: Chris Killen CF: Luke Beckett RW: Kevin Betsy some of you may disagree but IMO those players in their prime for us would make one hell of a team

RoytonBlueLad
Can I just have the 2002/03 side with a fully fit Clint Hill all season and no little swine, namely Adrian Littlejohn injuring Pogs? We'd have been up that season. No danger.

leeslover
i dont understand Favourite combined defence that played together with each other, favourite attack who did the same etc. So no players from different eras mixed together. Interesting punt for midfield - early days of KK, Hughes, Crofty, Eyres? KK when he was as good as he thought he was, Hughes was sooo underestimated at that time IMO and broke play up like you'll rarely see at this level, Croft stretching anyone we came up against, and Eyres stealing hubcaps when the opposition weren't looking. OK, a bit more than that.
