DavidCollinge Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 (edited) Muhammad Ali & his wife Lonnie are visiting Ricky Hattons gym on market st. Hyde on the 26th of August at noon. Probably be his last visit to the UK as he battles against Parkinsons disease.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Edited August 21, 2009 by DavidCollinge Quote
Stitch_KTF Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 Les, landlord at The Peels in Springhead, claims to have been in the ring with Mo Ali. I've been in with Steve 'The Viking' Foster........when I was about 12. Quote

Bring Back Ronnie Moore Posted August 25, 2009 Posted August 25, 2009 Muhammed Ali is a prick. He was a good boxer but a complete tosser as a person. Quote

leeslover Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Muhammed Ali is a prick. He was a good boxer but a complete tosser as a person. Looks like Mr Hatton has enjoyed his time off, again. Ali was indeed an utter tosser, albeit mostly the tool of people who took advantage of his stupidity, like many boxers (and no, shouting at Parky or repeating rhymes someone else had written for him doesn't make him an intellectual). It's amazing that he is seen as a beacon of greatness by so many white people, who he believes/believed were created 7000 years ago by an evil magician called Yakub, who created us as a perversion of black people, I presume trying to emulate Saruman. Also that he was an utter disgrace to the black Americans he faced. It's well known that he called Joe Frazier (who still lives in the same ghetto area he lived his whole life in, working with local kids, and who gave Ali money when he was down and out), an, "Uncle Tom Nigger." He also said the same to Floyd Patterson, who was a very committed man in terms of the civil rights movement. The gorilla outfit for Foreman wasn't best thought out either really. And, he doesn't have Parkinson's, he has brain damage. Not wishing it on him, but he's no nice person. Quote
OldhamSheridan Posted August 26, 2009 Posted August 26, 2009 Not wishing it on him, but he's no nice person. Okay you haven't. So I will. There's no better person it could happen to. A complete :censored:. Nice boxer, is his opponent (a few times) (...a few seconds whilst I look up the blokes name...) Ken Norton, that was him. A great bloke. Quote

His Parkinson's has been caused by being hit too many times etc. but he has Parkinson's. The fact that he claimed he was a Pascifist despite being World Heavyweight champion to get out of going to Vietnam (where his odds probably weren't that good) sums him up. The remarks he made to people who were better gentlemen then and are better gentlemen now just adds evdience into how much of a tw@t he was. Whether he's still able to be a tw@t now thanks to his Parkinson's is another matter. However, Ali is 'the greatest' and his spell on the sidelines is seen in a much more positive light than it should be so he gets portrayed as a hero in biopics. Quote

Well, Jesus, they even managed to put that Kennedy in a positive light yesterday. You know despite him being a murdering terrorist sympathiser. Quote
slurms mckenzie Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 Well, Jesus, they even managed to put that Kennedy in a positive light yesterday. You know despite him being a murdering terrorist sympathiser. Sickening, how the Dead Kennedy had the audacity to ask the British not to release the Lockerbie bomber, when he regularly entertained Irish Republican terrorists. What a hypocrite. Quote
