Gaz_Oafc
Peterborough are set to lose McLean to Hull, and Barry Fry admitted yesterday that he is receiving bids ‘left, right and centre’ for Craig Mackail-Smith, George Boyd and Joe Lewis among others. Alex Chamberlain, Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert and Jose Fonte have all been linked with moves away from Southampton, and they have already lost Puncheon to Millwall. Exeter look likely to lose their No.1 Paul Jones and midfielder Liam Sercombe. Brentford could potentially lose their manager Andy Scott to Sheffield Utd. Plymouth are in financial trouble and are set to cash in on most of their main assets. Carlisle are trying to fend off interest in top scorer Gary Madine. Swindon have rejected a bid from Hull for Charlie Austin, but there are a clutch of other Championship clubs preparing to table offers. There are a lot of teams in League 1 who will potentially lose their better players in January. Question is, can we keep hold of ours? The two who are potential targets (imho) are Lee and Furman - my real concern is if any of the loanees are recalled. If Lee goes then we have Winchester and potentially Holdsworth. Furman would be difficult to replace but we have Jones and possibly Jarrett. Mvoto and we could have Trotman. Going forward we have some great attacking options in White, Taylor, Morais, Tounkara and Brooke hopefully. We just need another striker who can hit the back of that net - but then so does every team. Still feeling good about the squad we have - just wish we could get to see them play... Alot of teams might lose some star players, but then with their new found wealth from the sales, they might go and poach the better players in league 2 The two who are potential targets (imho) are Lee and Furman - my real concern is if any of the loanees are recalled. Do have depth in the squad, and hopefully some more of the youth players will come through into the first team if we sell any players e.g. Crompton If we can keep Lee, but have to sell Furman, Lee could possibly fill into his shoes (Holdsworth/Jones try aswell) with Winchester at back. Aslong as we dont go on a firesale then we should be ok

singe
Lets hope that enjoying their football, a good spirit and playing for Paul Dickov is as enojoyable as it is for us fans, which shoudl enable us to keep most of the players
RobOAFC
Thinking about it, we might not be in such a bad position in january - if all of our games go ahead as planned then we'll have a big cash injection more than previous years, so we might be ok to not to sell until the summer?
