When Oldham Athletic start putting money in my bank account for helping run this site , then you can say its shocking, but whilst we are providing a service which firstly, you don't pay for and secondly, we get piss all for providing except grief, we will provide chat as and when we can. Ackey Posted February 14, 2011 Share Posted February 14, 2011 To clarify; OAFC still pay the bills for running the site. They still make a large profit on that from the hits we generate. The point Carl is making is that the work we do to make that profit for Latics is done voluntarily. They don't pay us for the time we put in and thus when we're not around and people moan about it (not that that was the case here, Carl's been hasty in his reaction) it is very frustrating and demoralising. As with the update that will take place this week (more on the update thread shortly) I've had to put time into convincing someone to do the work for us and then that person will have stay up into the wee hours doing the update so that there's no impact to the users... neither me nor the person doing the work will see anything from that.
