Museum de Latique
Delighted for the lads and well done Luke Simpson. Made a mistake for their goal but between him and Alex Parkes they made some outstanding stops to keep Macc at bay in normal time. So Norwich and Southend added to the fixtures within 24 hours. Thats another 1000 miles or so. Bugger. Add in Bournemouth and Charlton .

Some tremendous defending too throughout from Glenn Belezika - a boy mountain of a centre back, right winger Chris Sutherland also caught the eye with some electrifying runs. Macclesfield can consider themselves a bit unfortunate to go out as they played some good football and look to have some very good prospects themselves, particularly the central midfielders (keep an eye on them PD). Thought Belezika was outstanding, and Sutherland impressed too. Had to go at the end of 90 mins but I think the Macc goal led a charmed life, with their keeper iffy (despite one or two good saves) to say the least, he flapped all night. Their number 7 caused us problems too and probably could have wrapped the tie up in normal time, as could Sutherland when wasteful with two one on ones. Bournemouth, Southend, Norwich and Charlton, ££££ Have to say i'm tempted by Southend, otherwise I'll wait for Chesterfield and Stevenage in January, bored with going to same old places... opinions4u
For anybody planning any rail trip, be it for football, business or personal reasons, book it via First TransPennine Express on the PlayerShare WebShop and PlayerShare get between 1% and 4.5% of the fare rebated. No credit card or debit card surcharge. No postage fee. No administration charge. These long trips to London, Bournemouth and Southend are great opportunities to earn a few quid back for the cause.
