losesome Posted January 21, 2012 Posted January 21, 2012 (edited) Well what a difference a few weeks make. After beating Bradford i was praying on the way home that somehow Chesterfield would beat Preston and met us in the Northern Final. Wish come true and looking forward to Wembley with a lot of confidence!!! Now end of Jan - Latics not won a game this year and struggling to find the net. Chesterfield not lost a game this year and confidence building, and now taking a one goal lead into the 2nd leg. Appears to have gone horribly wrong and i can't help feeling they are going to sneak to 1-0 win and finish our season. Oh to have got Preston !!!!!!!!!!! Edited January 21, 2012 by losesome Quote

STAND CORRECTED , Brother just told me that C/field have lost at home this year - 2-0 to Exeter so maybe not so gloomy afterall . Oh so glad we got them instead of Preston !!!!!!! Quote

Bunty Blue Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Told my lad this week that being a Tic more often than not feels like a penance not a joy! Emotional night on 30th. Can't wait! Quote

Our WIN at Colchester has generated a lot more interest in more fans wanting to visit BP on the 30th - should be a tense old affair - I too can't wait. Quote

I just hope the conditions have settled down by then and the game isn't ruined as a spectacle. A tense affair that is settled by the best team going through ( or a jammy 2 goal victory for us,i'd take that ) Quote

steveoafc Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I sense a degree of anxiety building Probably comes from years of following latics and many false dawns! I have a good feeling in my water though Quote

singe Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 I thought we had really gone off the boil since the FA cup draw was made on 4th Dec. However, the 7 games preceeding that are only a 1 win better off (2 instead of 1. So we have been getting average results the whoel time. Quote
