100milesaway
With Latics having no game today and seeing as we only live about 20 miles from Darlington we though we would do our bit for another stuggling club. What a treat great game Darlo 2 York 2. Fantastic stadium, great atmosphere, passionate crowd(6400), and lovely to be part of lots of Darlo fans striving to keep THEIR club afloat. City/utd,Liverpool, Arsenal, Nah today at Darlington is what football clubs are all about.

LaticsPete
Was also there . Great atmosphere , a crowd of about 6400 . Of thse around 900 from York, nearly all of whom held up signs at the start saying "Football United". Saw fans from Sheff wed, St Mirren, Portsmouth, Leeds, Mboro, Sunderland . Apparently a bus of Hamilton Accies fans came for the match last week. Great ground, even if only half of it is opened. Concourses, social club, sports bar - but a 27000 capacity that means it's a white elephant most of the time. Football is real when it;s at clubs like this. It's real at Latics. p.s. FAO BP1960 -John McReady, 19 year old. Good feet, can tackle, and calm in front of goal - why he isn't at Droylsden I'll never know

That game today was a very good advert for confrence football. It was a cracking game from start to finish and we greatly enjoyed it We sat next to a Barrow fan and also saw a family from Blackburn. Where abouts in North Yorkshire are you Pete? Edited January 28, 2012 by 100milesaway

Could be worth watching his progress. http://www.thenorthe...the_Minstermen/ Edited July 12, 2012 by LaticsPete
