I quote from the April issue of "Esquire"; "Simon Stainrod holds the record for the shortest tenure behind the mic at Talksport. Last-minute cover for another sacked presenter, he turned up 15 minutes before he was due on air and lasted less than one ad break before (Kelvin) MacKenzie was on the phone to the producer. MacKenzie was heard to shout "What is this c**t doing on my radio station? Get rid of him as soon as possible" The producer agreed to sack him at the end of the show but when MacKenzie said as "as soon as possible" he meant it.
