chaddylad
In yesterday's programme notes Matt Derbyshire clearly states "what PD has done there is nothing short of incredible because they have the joint lowest budget in their division". Have I missed something here?
opinions4u
Corney said different a few months back. 12th biggest rings a bell. But it makes sense for Derbyshire to say nice things about Dickov. Just in case he ends up playing for him at the end of January.
Hands on
The budget is related to income, income has gone down so the projected budget would have been higher than the actual amount now available. With a wages cap the poor will get poorer and the rich richer. In the long run attendance will determine league position and this is why SC wants the new stand as this should encourage more to attend. Crusoe
It's all speculation and mind games. Since the budgets aren't published, nobody can state with any certainty what each club's budget is. Say you've got a tiny budget when you're trying to avoid being gouged on transfer fees or want to downplay fans' expectations. Don't say it when you're trying to attract players to sign for you.
