You can't have a night like that and not be somehow mobbed in the next morning's papers. Here's a round-up of what a few big 'nes are saying about the Latics defeat.

 

Only 1 out of the 3 doesn't mention Jose Baxter is an Evertonian and ends it with an unfortunate try for Latics instead of Baines' interview.

Referee Michael Oliver deemed it accidental enough to ignore penalty claims. The official’s decision to penalise Oldham for a similar offence in the 34th minute smacked of inconsistency.
