I remember having above referee for 4 previous games and getting nothing off him, lee Johnson should request he not officiate at any of our game as is totally anti Oldham

Wasn't a booking for Wes but aside from that didn't think he was actually that bad. Horrendous play acting from Wolves but if they hold their head and go down he does have to stop the game.

 

Think the ref bore the frustration of a crowd whose side were fighting hard but getting no joy against an excellent harrying team.

To be fair I thought he was good up until the point of booking Wes for precisely nothing. Second half he was poor and didn't get a grip of Wolves' professional time wasting tactics.

Very experienced referee. First season officiating in the league was 2001/2002.

 

First time at Boundary Park: 21st December 2001. Just looked through the squad too.

 

Incidentally he is from Lancashire and I remember a number of bad games from this ref, perhaps trying too hard not to be biased?

Who was L Hardy?

Good question, didn't spot him.

 

Lee Hardy. Signed on a free from Blackburn aged 19. Made that one substitute appearance before being released.

 

He moved to Macclesfield and then to Scotland before retiring from the game at 25. Played a total of 55 league games (14 subs), scoring 7 goals, at a pretty low level of professional football.

lets face it this season we have had terrible officials home and away 1 or 2 players inability to ride a challenge and man up may be a contributing factor but we really have had the :censored:ty end of the stick.
