oafcmetty
Just a note for anyone hoping to get the train to Orient away - Virgin are doing track upgrade work between Watford and London, so there are no direct trains from the NW to London. East Coast trains are running ok, so you can pop over to Leeds and go that way. Or go down to Birmingham and change to go down the Chiltern route if that works better. Bit annoying, as it's usually one of the better long distance aways.
jsslatic
Can you go via Milton Keynes or does that line go through Watford?

jsslatic
:censored:sticks. No advanced fares for Orient either, unless they come up nearer the time...

Ackey
was going to stay in Watford aswell, is there no underground that goes from Watford to London? http://tfl.gov.uk/maps/track You can get as far as Watford Junction on the Overground / Local Rail but I wouldn't want to speculate as to how that'll be impacted by the works... Plus it'll be an absolute ball ache!
