oafc1955
We've gone through this before but I've forgotten ......what is the reason for not taking credit cards when purchasing season tickets?
leeslover
We've gone through this before but I've forgotten ......what is the reason for not taking credit cards when purchasing season tickets? There was some problem as the credit card company could be liable if the fixtures weren't fulfilled but I'm not sure how that squares with being able to use them online
opinions4u
There was some problem as the credit card company could be liable if the fixtures weren't fulfilled but I'm not sure how that squares with being able to use them online Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act places a liability on the credit card company to reimburse (or provide an alternative) if Latics are unable to fulfil the contractual obligations under the season ticket. I would assume Zebra Finance have this liability if you use them. Because the online purchases use a middleman it breaks the chain of supply and removes the card company's liability.to refund if Latics go bump. Originally I think the 2003 collapse of Latics drove the no credit cards rule. But I think we are well beyond this now. My own view is that Latics are probably in breach of their obligations to the card company supplying merchant facilities by refusing to accept credit cards for certain purchases. They could, however, charge a small supplement for acceptance.
